A POTENTIALLY EARTH SHATTERING IDEA

Will it one day be possible to be a "Citizen of the World?"

Yes,, your official passport might have the title of "Citizen of The World."

Just like a regular passport from individual nations, this passport would allow
for official international travel, and identification.
When so very many of us are seeing that governments cause and begin unnecessary
wars and occupations, being instead a citizen of the World, just might be the
political option
for those of us who truly oppose wars of any kind.

It would provide a countable voice for the people of this world that no longer
choose to lend support of any kind to governments who continue to see wars and
military occupations of other nations.

Is it legally required in the world to ally one's self with any one nation?

Is it absolutely required that one must declare one single nation as his or her
home nation? I really don't see why this would be necessary.

We are allowed to live in several different states,, we are allowed to live in

many different nations. Why choose just one?

Talk about freedom. Yes,, why not.

Tired of waking up everyday and seeing what horrible mistakes your nation's
government is making? Well, I am.

How does it affect my conscience,, to see that my federal tax dollars are
buying drones and bombs, and killing innocent civilians in far away corners of
this world, where those poor people are absolutely no threat to me or my family?

It hurts.

How would one go about becoming a citizen of the world? Interesting legal
issues would certainly be raised.

I imagine the first step would be to declare your legal residence as "the
world."
This would certainly raise some eyebrows at your local Department of Motor
Vehicles!

I can see the lady now behind the counter asking,," So you wrote here,, that
your official residence is "the world?"

"Yes m'am,, I no longer wish to be considered just a citizen of this state or

nation.
I prefer to declare my allegiance to the welfare and trust and cooperation of
the entire world."

"I see sir,, but where would you like me to mail your new registration? I don't
think the post office will be able to deliver this to you if I type in "the world"
as your official address."

"Well madame,, you don't need to mail it at all,,I'll just come back in a few
days and pick it up."
"Well sir, it just doesn't work this way. You see, I send this to our central
office in the capital, and then they send it out to you."

"Well, couldn't you just ask them to send it right back here to you, and then I
could quite simply just come back by and pick it up?"

"Sir,, I know this is beside the point,, but I was just wondering, if you
don't mind me asking,, how long have you been growing your beard? Did anyone tell
you that you look a lot like those guys in ZZ Top?"

"Well yes, quite a few people tell me that."

" Well sir,, I can type in "the world" and request that your registration be sent
right back here to me if this is what you would really like."

"I can't tell you how much I appreciate that young lady,, you see, I think this
is one of the very important steps towards creating actual world peace!"

"Well,, we'll just see what happens when this gets to the capital. I'm pretty
sure I will hear quite a lot from my supervisors,, but you seem like such a nice
man,, so I guess we'll both just have to wait and see what happens!"

This is just an idea that hit me early this morning before I had my coffee,, but
still, I think it has some merit.

Perhaps even some money making potential !

I could sell these new "Citizen of The World Passports!"

Proper identification would be needed,, and a proper picture,, and perhaps a

pledge to
always behave properly when traveling internationally,, to respect local
cultures, and act like a true representative of the peace seeking international
community of brothers and sisters who seek peace, justice, and multicultural
awareness and understanding.

Would you buy one? Just call this market research.

Perhaps if I sold about a hundred of these I could find a good Washington lawyer
who might help me apply to the United Nations, so they could be recognized as
valid travel documents.

When so many incorrect things are done to innocent people by my government I

have no choice but to follow where my conscience leads me.

I would prefer to be a citizen of the world.

Of course, I'll always be a Tarheel at heart!

PEACE. Cut through all the bullshit, and there it is, sitting right in front of
you.
