SO PAULO

So Paulo, the largest city in Brazil with nearly 11 million inhabitants, is
notoriously multi-ethnic: over the past century, it received European
immigrants from countries such as Portugal, Italy or Germany, as well as
Asian immigrants from Japan, Korea and mid eastern countries. The
influence of all these groups is present in the cuisine and in the makeup of
the neighbourhoods. Almost six million inhabitants have an Italian
background, making it the largest ethnic group in the city, and more than
half a million are Japanese. This multi-ethnic population, as well as the fast
growing economy and richly varied cultural life, are an attraction to people
around the world and also to Brazilians from throughout the country, so
that living in So Paulo gives a chance to learn about different aspects of
Brazilian culture. However, living in So Paulo has its drawbacks too, such
as its nightmare traffic jams.

So Paulo has first class museums, such as the Art Museum, and hosts a
Fashion Week in January and June, where top designers show off their
creations. In a nation as football mad as Brazil, So Paulo has three of the
countrys main teams: the Corinthians, Palmeiras and So Paulo. Not
surprisingly, this city will be home to part of the matches of the 2014 World
Cup.

PUNTUACIN MXIMA DE LA PRUEBA: 10 puntos, repartidos del siguiente modo:


Pregunta 1: hasta 2 puntos. En esta pregunta se mide la capacidad de comprensin lectora. Se ha
de justificar la veracidad o falsedad de dos enunciados aportando la cita pertinente del texto. Cada
una de las dos contestaciones ser valorada con 1 punto. Se calificar con 0 puntos la
contestacin que no vaya debidamente justificada con la cita apropiada del texto; en este
sentido la referencia al texto mediante una cita incompleta o nmero de lnea/s no ser vlida.
Tambin se calificar con 0 puntos la contestacin en la que exista una contradiccin entre la cita
elegida y la veracidad o falsedad de la enunciacin.

Pregunta 2: hasta 1 punto. En esta pregunta se mide el dominio del vocabulario. Consta de dos
apartados. Cada uno de ellos se evaluar con un mximo de 0.5 puntos.

Pregunta 3: hasta 1 punto. Con esta pregunta se pretende comprobar conjuntamente la
comprensin lectora y la expresin escrita mediante la formulacin de una pregunta abierta. La
contestacin ha de estar basada en el texto, pero sin reproducir literalmente las expresiones del
mismo. Se asignar 0,5 puntos a la comprensin de la pregunta y 0,5 puntos a la correccin
gramatical de la respuesta.

Pregunta 4: hasta 3 puntos. Con esta pregunta se pretende comprobar los conocimientos
gramaticales. Se presentan tres apartados, con instrucciones precisas. Se adjudicar 1 puntos a
cada apartado. con carcter unitario en el caso de (a). En el caso de (b) y (c) se dividir la
puntuacin (0,5 puntos por cada espacio rellenado).

Pregunta 5: hasta 3 puntos. Se trata de una composicin de 80 a 100 palabras sobre un tema dado,
en la que se podr demostrar la capacidad para expresarse libremente en la lengua
extranjera.Se otorgarn 1,5 puntos por el buen dominio de la lengua -lxico, estructura sintctica,
etc.- y 1,5 por la madurez en la expresin de las ideas organizacin, coherencia y creatividad.
