Recipe Name: Butter Chicken

2 cups-Basmati rice 1 medium-large fr pan
2 table spoons-Tandoori paste 1 knife- wash after each ingredient is
cut

%resh Coriander lea$es to ser$e &easuring spoons
# cup-'atural (reek )ogurt 1 teaspoon to tr food
200g-*iced tomatoes-no added salt

,tep 1- ,tep 1- Cut the meat into finger slices. Chop the onion into mini
s/uares and lea$e aside in a little bowl until read to cook. Cut the
cucumbers and Coriander and lea$e aside until ou are read to
plate up. !ut the canned tomatoes in a bowl read to put in the
pan.
,tep 2- &ake the chicken stoke before ou start to cook the onion. &ake

sure that all our ingredients are out on the bench so it is easier for
ou and /uicker to make the meal. The preparation time is about
20-25 minutes.
,tep 3- 0eat a wok or a big fr pan o$er medium to high heat. !ut oli$e oil
in the pan to 1ust coat the bottom of the pan. Cook the onion. ,tir it
for 3-4 minutes or until it is golden. *o not burn.
,tep 4- 2dd the tandoori paste and cook3 stirring it for 1-2 minutes or until
aromatic.
,tep 5- 2dd the sliced chicken and cook3 stirring3 for 3-4 minutes or until
browned. ,tir in tomato and chicken stock. 4educe heat to low
heat. ,immer for 10 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Tr
a piece to see if it is cooked.
,tep 5- 6se the instructions on the poppadum packet and either brush
each side of the poppadum"s with oli$e oil and place in the
microwa$e for 1-2 minutes or put lots of oil in a fr pan. 7ait until
the oil starts to bubble then add the pieces of poppadum"s in the oil
to cook.
,tep 8- Cook the rice in the packet in the microwa$e and follow the
instructions on the back of the pack to how to cook. 9ea$e the rice
in there until read to plate up and so the rice doesn"t get cold.
,tep :- To make it easier put the ogurt and spinach in the same bowl so
when ou put it in the pan ou can put it in at one motion.
,tep ;- ,tir in the ogurt and spinach. *i$ide the rice and chicken mi<ture
among ser$ing plates.
,tep 10- Top with cucumber and coriander. ,er$e with poppadum"s.
,tep 11- !ut the rice at the bottom of the plate then add the chicken mi<ture
on top. (arnish with cucumbers3 coriander and ser$e the
poppadum"s on the side of the plate.

10-15 minutes !utting all the ingredients in the pan and start cooking them.

5 minutes Cook the poppadum"s in the pan.
2 minutes Cook the rice in the micro wa$e.
