Voice 1 There are many tourist attractions in Sabah. One of the most popular attractions is
the 560-kilometer Kinabatangan River. During a river cruise you will have the
chance to spot the rare orang utan, the pygmy elephant, proboscis monkeys and
saltwater crocodiles. You might spot the leopard cat, numerous sleeping birds, wild
boars, snakes and many crocodiles during the night cruise.

Voice 1 Extract 1: Listen to the extract given by a student about a competition. Then fill in
the table below.

Voice 2 : In conjunction with the Language month, a Public Speaking Competition was
held. It was to encourage students to speak in English. It was held on the 5
th
of
October at 10 oclock in the morning. Mrs Kumar took a few supporters to The
Diamond Hall where the competition was held. There were supporters from the
other states too. There were 14 finalists representing every state. It could clearly
be seen that some of the speakers were nervous. Lisa jumped with joy when
she heard her name being announced as the winner.
