This Jamba Juice business proposal aims to outline the strategies and analyze the market situation within Malaysia.
This business plan will act as a blueprint for the direction in which the company wishes to take the Jamba Juice
franchise in Malaysia. Included in this document will be Jamba Juices market strategies, projected expenses, goals,
and also operational plans.

What is Jamba Juice?
Established in 1990, San Luis Obispo, California, Jamba Juice serves healthy and nutritional beverages derived from
natural ingredients such as nuts and fruits and vegetables. Jamba Juice Company is an American company that runs
a chain of juice stores around the United States. The company operates within the restaurant industry, and has
specialized in providing healthy, specialty beverage. These beverages include; fresh juice, smoothies, juice blends,
yoghurt, tea and coffee. The stores also provide light foods such as sandwiches, oatmeal, mini-wraps, breakfast
wraps, and bread. Jamba Juice operates on a franchise model. Taking this franchise to Malaysia, Jamba Juices plan
is to start a branch in Mont Kiara

With Malaysias improving economic performance, there is an increase amount of indulgence products,
such as snacks and drinks, coupled with an increasing number of the health conscious Malaysians in the
population who find an importance in the health properties of food (especially juices), there is a strong
potential market for Jamba Juice to enter. Malaysia has an increasing market for cafes and stores serving
beverages, with big competitors such as Starbucks and Coffee Bean. Furthermore, there is a fairly
untapped, niche market for specialty stores serving healthy, fresh, juices. The only major competitor in this
niche market is Boost Juice, creating a huge potential for Jamba Juice enter and become the leading
competitor in the target market. The target demographic within the market has been recognized as
primarily teens to adult (15-30) from a middle to high financial income family who are health conscious.
Jamba Juice targets loyal customers who would help create a strong customer base in Malaysia.

then be used to produce a variety of different beverages. When a customer orders a drink, such as a smoothie with
a selection of fruits, one of the employees at hand will take the order.

A number of juice blenders, and other necessary equipment will be accessible for employees so that customer
orders made and served efficiently. To ensure that Jamba Juices products are of high quality, any ingredients will
be inspected to ensure none have gone bad or are of low-quality.

Human Resources

Jamba Juice plans on recruiting four employees. 3 team members and one manager. Employees will be paid
accordingly to their positions: RM40 per hour for team members and RM 1000 a month for managers. Salary of
managers will vary based on experience, while there is no experience required for team members. To get and
maintain employees with the required skills and motivation, Jamba Juice will:

Post job ads on websites and social media
Once employees are recruited, a 3 day training course will be required for all low-level employees to
attend. This will help new employees learn the required skills knowledge for their position.
Whenever a new system or technology is introduced, it will be done in a gradual process where senior
employees are trained, and later will mentor the newer employees.
Managers are expected to play a role in ensuring communication between and to employees on what the
regular standard of performance is.
Every 3 months, Team members will be evaluated by performance by the manager.
