NOMINEE BACKGROUND (Continued)
Reasons for Seeking Election: Please discuss the reasons why you want to serve as a Congress Member. I believe strongly in rugby as a sport, recreational past time and life changing event. My intent, if elected, is to continue to grow the game of rugby as well as help our referees, coaches and administrators become more professional in their approach to the game. We have seen incredible growth in the youth, college and adult game over the last ten years. To continue this growth, we need dedicated leadership who will seek to support our grassroots rugby. While I want to see our National Teams succeed, it is critical that the grassroots receive a good return on investment and are supported in developing American Rugby at all levels. The player insurance USAR provides now came out of a grassroots push that the Congress pushed with USAR. As a representative I will work hard to best represent our region nationally and work to ensure our members are not forgotten at the USA Rugby national office.
Value to Southern Conference Members: Please indicate the value that you offer to the Unions in the Southern Conference and their member clubs as their Congress Member. My value to you 1) I have a history of supporting positive growth while in leadership positions. As the Palmetto President, we went from 11 college and adult sides to over 20. At the same time, we grew a youth/high school program that started with 6 clubs and now consists of 15 solid HS teams and continues to grow by 1-2 clubs annually. 2) I have the dedication and organizational skills to represent our region. 3) I have forged positive relationships with the National Office, our other regional reps and the representatives from the other competitive regions. 4) I understand what is needed to grow a successful Union and have the ability to forge cooperative relationships to better support our local and regional interests while supporting our sport nationally.

Goals and Objectives: Please share your top three goals/objectives as a Congress Member.
1) Continue the growth of our youth, high school and college game for both men and women. 2) Develop proven pathways for youth players to grow into college and adult players and keep our sport moving forward. 3) Provide leadership, programs and products that assist our grassroots clubs, officers and players in becoming strong, financially stable clubs that provide the for the future growth of rugby.
