* will send a letter out to the parents asking for a couple of plastic bottles' bo(es'
other recycled items' scrap paper' ribbon' and other miscellaneous items that
they have at home to send with the children for the +unk activity.
* will need to gather all the necessary materials for this activity making sure that
* have enough recycled items and miscellaneous items' for more than one child
and so that the children will have to count out three of each item.
* will need to place all the items in the art area.

* will introduce this activity during circle time. * will let them know that they
will be separated into groups. * will let them know about recycling and how it
affects the earth. There are no skills that * need to demonstrate. * will need to tell
the children that this is a creative pro+ect and if they find other materials in the
art area to represent any part of the +unk activity that they may use the materials
they found within reason.
A safety issue that may need to be observed for some ob+ects for the art pro+ect
that the parents sent in so that children do not accidently in+ure themselves.

As the children began to balance off items with placing them together' * will be

To end this activity' * will bring each group pro+ect5s +unk activity to the front of
class so everyone could see. Then * will look at each groups +unk activity pro+ect
individually' let them tell me what their pro+ect looks like. And then take a
picture of them and their pro+ect together. &very group will have a chance to
show and tell for their creativity that they created. After everyone has presented
their pro+ect in front of the class' * will then start my transition to another
activity. After this they can do inside' free choice work time with each other in
the different areas of the classroom.

Throughout the week the children may discuss and compare their pro+ects with
another child5s pro+ect. They can talk about what each of them did similar and
what they did different. They may also give suggestions on how they can change
something in the pro+ect.
Also there will be letters sent out to parents that they will be showing their +unk
activity pro+ects for show and tell. The children will have a lot to tell about their
pro+ects and e(plain everything that is used in their pro+ect.
