SCOPE OF SUPPLY
MAIN UNIT

One Heat exchanger, consisting of two closely wound, helical, concentric coils,
arranged to give three passes on flue gas side and made of ERW tubes

One Shell assembly consisting of a single jacket, enclosing the heat exchanger coil to
serve as an integral Combustion Chamber, duly insulated externally

One Mono-bloc burner suitable for HSD firing with ON-OFF control

One Dust protected, pre-wired control panel housing a set of contactors & MCB,
motor protection and fuses

One Set of water piping connecting the unit & pump

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

In order to ensure that the boiler smoothly and reliably gives you a designed service it is
important that all the important input conditions are complied for best results. The input

Water Content - 0.05% Vol.(Max.)
Kinematic Viscosity - 2.5 cst @ 50C
Pour Point - 5C

Water quality Water to be used in Hot water generator for primary circuit,
(Primary circuit) should be DM/soft water having the following specifications
Total dissolved solids : 100 ppm (max.)
Total hardness : Commercial zero
pH value : 8 to 9

Water quality Water being used in Hot Water Generator for Secondary
(Secondary circuit) circuit (utility) should meet the
Langelier Saturation Index : 0.5
The parameters for working out Index are as below:
Total hardness : <250 ppm
Total dissolved solids : <700 ppm
Turbidity : <2 NTV
Total alkalinity : < 250 ppm
pH value : 7.5 - 8.5
Chloride : < 30 ppm

Note:

Customer is advised to install CVT of the following specifications to take care of
voltage fluctuation
Rating : 0.35 Kva
Nominal output voltage : 220 volts
Output voltage variation : 3%
Correction speed : > 300 volts / sec
CVT should have fully in-built load to line isolation and should be connected as shown
in the electrical diagram. Data applicable for altitude of 600 mts, above mean sea level,
for operating altitude beyond 600 mts, above MSN check with Thermax HO.

Fuels to confirm to enclosed IS specification.

1. Chimney and flue gas duct between main unit and chimney.

2. Fuel pipeline up to the inlet of the unit.

3. All cabling at site.

4. Power supply, fuel, water and other utilities.

5. All user equipment, their heat exchangers, automatic and manual valves and
temperature controllers.

6. Calorifier of unit, expansion cum make up tank, connected piping, valve &
strainer

7. Pipeline insulation.

8. All civil and structural work for installing the unit.

9. Hot water piping and insulation for utility

10. Water treatment system

11. Any other items not specifically mentioned in our offer

SERVICES

SUPERVISION SERVICES OF ERECTION & COMMISSIONING

1. The unit covered under this offer comes in semi-assembled/ fully assembled
condition. Unloading and assembling at site of the heater, its accessories, mountings
and fittings have to be done by the customer.

2. The services of our Erection Engineer, who would offer guidance and supervision in
this matter, would be available at the charge mentioned in this quotation.

3. This service charge payable to us covers:

DRAWINGS: Terminal point, layout, foundation details (not foundation design)
electrical wiring diagram and P&I diagram.

TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS: Installation / Operation and Maintenance Manual

GUIDANCE ON: Selection & installation of heater house accessories and
commissioning.

TRAINING AT SITE: For purpose of user's education for equipment operation and
maintenance.

4. This service charge does not include:
- Labour (skilled and unskilled)
- Tools and tackles
- Utilities (including power, water, compressed air, fuel, gas etc.)
- Consumables etc.

These are to be supplied by the user, as and when required, for unloading and assembling
of the heater, its accessories, mountings and fittings, during erection and commissioning.

5. This charge does not include fees payable for inspection of the heater and its
accessories, if any. All such charges are to be paid by the purchaser
