Short Documentary

Source of text: YouTube (Be serious media)

Approximate date of broadcast: 10th September 2009

Description of Text
There are lots of good facts and figures which are based
on the dangers of driving. The use of Voice Over is
present within the documentary; it is used to inform the
audience factual information that we need to know
about teenage driving and also explaining what
happening in that particularly shot that we are viewing.
The documentary gives us information about why
young drivers are should be privilege to drive but also
focuses on the negative aspect of being a young driver.
Potential Audience for Text
The text used in this documentary is aiming at people
who have started to drive or are driving. I think does hit
the target audience of 16-24 as the variety of people
used in the documentary are within that age. I don’t
think it aims to both genders because there are not
enough females used within the production apart from
one time but overall there are only males. However it
does aim to people who live in Britain as it was shot
here. There is a mixture of races which is showing that
it’s aimed to all races and ethnicities. Social Class could
be E-C. Additionally it can be aiming to those who enjoy

Key Influences on your Idea - Content and Form

The style is quite simple and one reason why I like it
because you have the facts, the figures, voxpops, a
demonstration of someone young driving , so overall
there is quite a lot of events going in less than 5
minutes. So how the facts are incorporated within inn
the documentary is very affective especially when you
want to get your points across cross will be something I
will take in to mind.
