ABSTRACT


Financial analysis is the process of analyzing and identifying the financial strength and the
weakness of the firm by properly establishing the relationship between the items of balance sheet
and profit and loss account. Financial analysis can be undertaken by the management of the firm,
or by parties outside the firm, via owners, creditors, investors and others. The nature of the
analysis will differ depending on the purpose of the analyst.
Management, Creditors, Investors and others to form judgments about the operating performance
and financial position of the firm use the information contained in this statements can get further
insight about the financial strength and the weakness of the firm to make their best use and to be
able to spot out financial weakness of the firm to take suitable corrective action.
The financial analysis is the starting point for making plans, before using any sophisticated
forecasting and planning procedures. Understanding the past is the prerequisite for anticipating
future.
