TEACHING CONTEXT

I started working last week in UCEA, teaching English in the


“Tecnico superior universitario” program.
My students are mainly adolecents from 18 to 22 years old, but
there are also some adults of 30 years old. There are a total of 27
students.
Althouhg they do not have a well defined level, I think they have
a basic level. We do not use any textbook. For this reason, I try to
use a big variety of methodologies. The only problem that I could
identify is that since the level is very basic, using communicative
approach or methodologies like those, is very hard. I am using
grammar translation method even though I think in the future I
will stop using it.
