Letter from the ground of events, from where the clashes between revolution and counterrevolution are
taking place in Libya
The pro-imperialist forces of Libya have already started a
merciless attack against masses
In the morning on Friday, May 16, in the city of Benghazi at the East of
Libya, in a surprising way para-military reactionary forces were deployed
under the command of the puppet and imperialisms cadre named
Khalifah Heftar, former general of Muamar al-Khadafy and political exiled
in USA. He is the same man that the last February 7 tried to carry out a
coup dtat against the weak GNCL confronted by masses who applied
their fighting methods of pickets, and strike. But the betrayal of corrupted
generals members of some rebel brigades obliged masses to retreat and
it saved the GNCL life since it was just nearly to fall down in the
exploiteds hands.
The masses lost a great opportunity to take power. The reaction and
counterrevolution started to plot and prepare the counterrevolutionary
coups taking place today.

The deployment of troops and heavy armament
of the reactionary forces on the workers towns
of Benghazi had only one objective: once and
for all to finish the dual power imposed by the
brave Libyan masses who broke the bourgeois
state in the 2011 revolution.
The strategy of the pro-imperialist forces was to
take control of the places where there are still
organized brigades that reject to be submitted
to the vertical chain of command of a new
Libyan Army. The excuse: THE WAR
AGAINST TERRORISM. They announced it in
all the bourgeois media and using such excuse
the massacre started.

The first attacked barrack belonged to the brigade Martyrs of the February 17 composed by workers and workers sons who
participated in the 2011 revolution. They had nothing to do with Islamic demands, not at all. Despite that fact, they were bombed by
air, just like the khadafist style at the beginning of the revolution in February 2011. This event opened the masses eyes. Masses
identified the puppet with bear, Khalifah Heftar, like a continuer of the dictatorship of Muamar who uses false accusations to
merciless attack against his own people.
The youth of the worker neighborhoods came back to the streets to set up his urban guard committees with armed pickets and
burning tyres to protect their homes from the fierce attacks of the pro imperialist forces of reaction. Each town with his armed
picket achieved to make the puppet Heftar draw back and obliged the special forces (well known because of fighting masses
using the same excuse of Heftar), as well as the bourgeois copula to retreat and to declare in public they are not in favour of the
attack. Obviously, they have let Heftar go for him to massacre. With a great vanguard of organized masses in the streets, Heftar
was obliged to retreat.
Not been satisfied massacring masses by air missiles and projectiles, the next day the reactionary forces attack again the worker
towns of Benghazi, and this time in a secret coordination with generals of some brigades under the command of the Libya Army
that refused joining Heftar and attacking. The Heftars forces began to assault the barracks of those who was under the command
of the army but due to the massacre carried out by Heftar they refused to attack and were considered traitors.
During the morning on May 18, in Tripoli the Zentan militias loyal to Heftar (due to the business made by the former officer of
Muamar with that clan during the 2011 revolution) encouraged by his advance into the city of Benghazi, capital of the revolution,
entered Tripoli with a huge military deployment including tanks, anti-air machine guns and heavy artillery. They rushed into the
workers towns of Abu Slim, Salah ad-din and Suq el-Jumaa for Heftar to smash the organized brigades that deny being submitted
to the direct orders of the imperialism. Like a smoke screen, the GNCL provoked some fleeting and ephemeral fireworks to make
believe they were resisting the coup, while they ran away and were coordinating secretly with the coup generals of Zenten. It
was done by the officers of the new Libyan army of the GNCL who quickly ran away and left alone the soldiers and youth of the
town al-Battatta fighting and resisting the attack.
Once again, thanks to the towns committees with armed pickets composed by youth and counting with the support of the
organized brigades, they were able to repel the attack of the pro-imperialist forces of the clan Zentan and their ally the clan
Warshafanah (a well known pro-khadafist clan)
The situation opens a lot of breaches from where masses with their fighting methods reappear again and fight directly against the
imperialisms forces.
A very strong public campaign on the part of national and international media is in motion to isolate the masses in their resistance
struggle, as well as a mortal silence of all the organizations with great mass influence that proclaim to be in favor of the revolutions
of poor and oppressed. Not only they keep in silent but also they isolate masses and try to make them appear like enemies of the
world workers.
To set up a revolutionary leadership at this moment in Libya is a task of life and death.
Two powers in the same state, that is, the power of exploited and exploiters, can no longer coexist.
They are two powers irreconcilable. The clashes between revolution and counterrevolution have started.

FOR THE WORKERS ORGANIZATIONS TO VOTE IN THEIR TRADE UNIONS IN FAVOR OF SENDING MATERIAL TO AID MASSES
SO THAT THEY CAN DEFEND THEMSELVES FROM THE ATTACKS ON THE PART OF THE REACTIONARY FORCES.
Here in Middle East, every one who fights for a decent life is called terrorist. This is an infamy and a huge lie.
