PhillipWright
Philip has been involved with the St James Ethics Centre for over five years as a
consultant, facilitator, accredited educator and counsellor for the Centre. Working
with a wide variety of organisations, Philip delivers our ethical leadership and good
decision making programs and workshops. He also presents to conferences on ethics, facilitates
ethicalhypotheticals,consultstoboardsandseniormanagementteams,andprovidesourExecutive
Counsel and Ethics Counsel. Philips work also includes review of codes of practice and developing
ethical capabilities. He has extensive experience in the government and health sectors covering
aspectsofethics,governanceandleadership.

LeanneEvans
Leanne Evans is currently the Executive Officer of the Australian Womensport and Recreation
Association. Prior to a decade overseas, Leanne worked as the CEO of the Australian Sports
Foundation and Deputy Director General of the NSW Department of Sport and Recreation. Before
thatsheservedasthefirstfemaleCEOofbothTouchFootballAustraliaandGymnasticsQueensland.
Leanne has served on many sports boards including Athletics Australia and the now defunct NSW
State Sports Centre Trust for a multipurpose facility in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct. Locally,
LeannecofoundedtheBuderimFoundation,alocalphilanthropicbodyandhasservedonitsBoard
sinceitsinceptionin2004.
As well as a Commonwealth Games silver athletics medal, Leanne is a former Sunshine Coast
SportspersonoftheYear.WithanMBAandaBachelorofHumanMovementStudies,Leannehasa
particularinterestingovernanceandensuringBoardsworkwell.

MichaelOConner
Michael OConnor is a dual Rugby International who has turned his hand to Coaching.
He is the current Head Coach of National Rugby 7s Team for the upcoming
Commonwealth Gamesin Glasgow.MichaelmovedfromtheWallabiesafterwinninga
Bledisloe Cup and played for both St George and Manly while representing NSW in 19
State of Origin games. He has held Administration roles in both Australian Rugby league and Union
andwastheTalentIdentificationCoordinatorfortheARU.
