What is the IFAP Safer Business
Package?
IFAP has numerous safety and health specialists with expertise
across a broad range of industry sectors. The Safer Business Package
allows your business to access our specialists and for them to assist
you to improve your safety performance. We call our specialists your
Safety Champions they are here to call upon when you need them.
In addition to the online safety management system, IFAP can also
develop a selection of processes and supply a number of tools and
templates that form the basis of your competent HSE Management
System.
Which of these deemed appropriate for your organisation will be
determined through the initial assessment of your business, which
includes a gap analysis to identify:
Essential / compliance elements
Other value adding elements and opportunities for improvements
How does the IFAP Safer Business
Package work?
The heart of the IFAP Safer Business Package is the online safety
management system application myosh. IFAP and myosh have been
partners for over a decade and now this world class, leading edge
application is able to be used by your Safety Champion to access,
analyse and apply IFAPs expertise to assist your organisation to
pursue safety and health improvements.
When you sign up to the Safer Business Package, you receive access
to the following key components to get your safety management
system working in the right direction:
Incidents (accidents)
Hazards
Inspections and audits
Actions
Management Reports
Training Management
Registers
Documents
Because myosh is a cloud-based application, there is no cost involved
for hardware and no need for IT specialists. The install process is
completed remotely from the comfort of your ofce, all you need is
access to the internet. Once your installation is completed, your
management system is ready for use.

Note: services are dependent upon individual business circumstances and may be an
additional cost.
*Membership will be considered by the IFAP Board of Directors under due process as per
normal criteria. No additinal cost to existing members.
These will be determined by the scale and nature of the business
being assessed and might include:

Development of Health and Safety objectives and targets aligned
with the organisations activities, risks and impacts
HSE reporting processes
Training and competency assessment and planning
Development of a company induction
Risk management processes and tools ranging from pre-start
informal observations through to organisational risk assessment

- Planning and proling of pre-start medicals based on job roles

Implementation
Our team will liaise with you to ensure that your organisational
reporting structure is correctly reected within myosh.
Importantly, your Safety Champion is included in the reporting
structure and can condentially access your records, and provide
feedback to you on the quality and quantity of the data your
business is collecting and reporting.
Note: The time needed for setup will depend upon the size of your
business; however two days will usually sufce for most medium-
sized businesses.
The entry-level myosh setup allows for one person to be
nominated as an administrator and two people to be users.
More administrators and users can be added for additional fees.
Your Safety Champion will pay an initial visit to your primary site
in order to gain an appreciation of the nature of your business and
the types of hazards that are likely to exist in your operations.
They will conduct a hazard inspection and a review of your safety
related documentation, and prepare an initial action plan for
improvements. The results of the hazard inspection can be entered
into myosh to make the system go live with your data.
If your organisation meets the WorkSafe WA ThinkSafe Small
Business Assistance Program

criteria, then the initial visit will be
funded by the Western Australian State Government.

Note: Pending available Government funding.
On the basis of the ndings from the initial visit, a subscription
plan will be agreed with you that provides the right level of access
to your Safety Champion and IFAPs support team. We will then
formulate a schedule of times to review your data and visit your
site/s to assist in the safety performance improvement eforts.
Safety Champion Services
The entry level schedule of access to your Safety Champion could
include:
2 hours per month data analysis
2 hours per quarter of data and reporting to managers and other
stakeholders
2 days every 6 months of contact time
IFAPs health and safety specialists have a broad range of skills. By
way of example, your contact time with your Safety Champion
can be used for:
Hazard inspections
Audits of your safety management system
Accident investigations
Writing safety-related documentation
Developing and/or delivering safety inductions or courses
Coaching your supervisors or safety committee
Representing you in safety-related discussions with clients or
contractors

Workers Compensation Premium Management
IFAP has a long-standing relationship with Willis Temby Insurance
Brokers. At your request, a Willis Temby representative will review
your workers compensation insurance history and provide
recommendations in relation to your enterprises workers
compensation premium, and how to liaise with your insurer/
broker.
Rehabilitation of Injured Workers, & Return to Work Programs
IFAPs Injury Management specialists have established a network
of Injury Management Co-ordinators. IFAP can either review your
injured worker processes, or refer you to one of the members
of our network to assist you in developing Return to Work
programs.
Legal Advice and Register of Legal Compliance Requirements
IFAP has a well-established relationship with STE Safety and
Legal. Many organisations, but particularly those who are pursuing
certication against workplace health and safety standards, need
to develop a legal compliance register. STE Safety and Legal have
an excellent product (LawStream ) which will be made
available to IFAP Safer Business Package subscribers,
