Product; Improved (optional) remote controller-
RC-3 RC-I.D. P/N : SP 00037
Subject: Unique addressable remote controller.
Back- ground.
In some cases when more than one ELECTRA air conditioners are installed in the same
space, or in close proximity, it may occur that a remote controller activate several air cons
instead of the intended one, caused by the wide I.R. beam of the controller and the fact that
white walls return IR beam.
Scope.
To avoid the above described and aiming the opportunity of controlling the very specific
intended air conditioner to be activated, our engineers have designed the Unique Address
remote controller, which avoid activation of more than the desired addressed air
conditioner.
Characteristics.
The new RC- ID remote controller has all the configurations of the regular remote
controller.
It will be always as default in Centigrades and time set 24 Hrs.
The RC- ID is able to support individually up to 15 different Electra air conditioners
The set up is easy by Dip Switch definition.
The use of the RC-ID does not require any change in the receptor of the electronic
assembly, thus the use of a regular remote controller is always feasible.
Very handy for use in spaces with more than one Electra air conditioners.
The RC- ID remote controller is an optional device, therefore not added as standard in
the box and not included in the price of the air conditioner.
Supply will be realized after special request of the customers.

3. Setup a RC-ID to a specific ID address
Select appropriate ID by setting corresponding Dip Switch #3 and #4 as according to Table on
If one also changed the Dip Switch #1 and #2 setting during this procedure, one should perform the software-
reset by pressing keys, SET, CLEAR, HR+, HR- simultaneously for 3 seconds & then release.
Otherwise, no need.
4. Set a unique ID Address to the Air Conditioner
4.1 Set the A/C to diagnostic mode first.
Pressing local MODE button (on the A/C) for 5-10 seconds in Standby or any other operation mode will
activate diagnostic mode by the acknowledgment of 3 short beeps and lighting of Operate and Standby LEDs.
4.2 Use the RC-ID with the set ID address to send a command (any) to the A/C.
A/C will jump out to normal mode when receiving a command from the Remote Control in the system
diagnostics mode. If this command from the Remote Control contains an ID address, this ID address will
become the new ID address of the A/C.
Then one can always use that specific RC-ID to control the particular A/C. RC-ID programmed with different
address cannot control that particular A/C.
5. Address Configuration
It can be supplied to support 15 different addresses (Hex 1 to F) max. Two factory set jumpers divide the
addresses into four groups as follows:-
The default factory set address is C
