Maternal and Child Care Nurse: Key Responsibilities and Duties

 Ensure the policies and administration decisions of Council as they


relate to Maternal and Child Health Services are adhered to.

 Undertake hospital rounds in order to assess the need of both infant


and mother.

 Maintain up to date and accurate infant records.

 Maintain professional knowledge and skills by attending in-service

creating a sterile and safe surgical environment.

patient's physical and emotional well being.

care continuum.

during the surgical procedure.
