Most people think of snow and
ice when they think of penguins,
but our penguins are from the
hot, arid coastal regions of Peru!
Humboldt penguins love along
the rocky coasts and we've
mimicked this environment in
our new exhibit which features
incredible underwater viewing
as well as being the first sustainable
penguin exhibit with geothermal
warming and cooling of water
and eco-friendly water filtering
systems. Watch up-close as they
birds frolic just inches away.

CREATIVE BRIEF
BACKGROUND:
Woodland Park Zoo is one of the greatest tourist attractions in Seattle, Washington. The zoo is a 92 acre park that provides quality care to
approximately 1,100 animals. Nearly 300 animal species and a thousand plant species are represented in this lush oasis. The Woodland
Park Zoo has the largest collection in Washingtion representing different areas from around the globe.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
Students, Families, Children, Teens, Adults, and Seniors.
OBJECTIVES:
To design a kiosk interface for purchasing tickets and/or viewing exhibit information.
KEY BENEFIT:
● Convenient

● Quick and easy access
● Self-service
DESIGN CONCEPTS:
Clean, simple, easy-to-navigate, and informative kiosk interface for all users who are familiar with the English, Spanish, or
Japanese language.
