I am greatly pleased to recommend Vivek Dhakal for admission to your higher education programme. He
undoubtedly makes an excellent candidate for a masters degree in the fields of science and engineering.
I taught him various courses during the last two years of his undergraduate degree programme in Electronics and
Communication Engineering at National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, and I was also his guide and mentor
for the major and minor projects during the last two semesters. He did excellent work on projects simulating and
studying low-energy communication protocols and routing in wireless sensor networks. His performance as well as
personal interest on the courses which I taught, like Computer Communication and Networking and Electronic
Switching Systems, was praiseworthy. I also found Vivek very curious and knowledgeable about recent IT
developments, as we often discussed modern electronic and IT systems in those courses.
As a person, I have known him for over two years and I can surely say he is a gentle, hardworking, polite and kind
person. He always turned up for classes in time, with great zeal and a set of curiously generated insights and
problems, and during the project days when I got to know his academic and professional abilities even closely, I
came to know of his dedication and interests in the fields of science and technology, not just the project. A very
motivated learner, he can work alone to initiate projects, gather like-minded people and properly get along the
timeline. I can say without any reservations that he will surely excel with his motivated and dedicated mind in any
field he chooses to advance his knowledge, skills and expertise.
Also a great people-person, I have found Vivek very helpful and popular among friends, with his honest
communication skills and behavior. And I never found him compromise on anything related to his interests and
learning, however tiring or unfavorable the situations were. He is one of the few students who have impressed me
highly with their scholarly abilities and personal characteristics.
I wholeheartedly recommend Vivek as a highly prospective candidate for a higher degree programme at your
esteemed institution. I surely think Vivek can and will do all it takes to excel at it.
