Generic Vehicle Damage Tables

For use with Warhammer 40,000 2


nd
edition.
Vehicle Location (d6 Roll)
Arm
1 The arm is hit & partially paralysed. Any ranged weapons incorporated into the arm may still be used, but the arm
cannot be used to fight in hand-to-hand combat. Reduce the model's Attack characteristic by 1 point.
2 Any weapons mounted on the arm are ammed or partially damaged & can only be used if you first roll a !" on a d#.
3 - 5 The arm is torn off. Any weapons mounted on it are destroyed, & the model's Attack characteristic is reduced by 1 point.
6 The arm is destroyed and any weapon on it e$plodes% The e$plosion causes a flashback resulting in a secondary
e$plosion. Roll on the damage table representing the &ehicle's main body, hull or engine.
Body or Head (Dreadnought !raithlord)
1 The &ehicle's controls are damaged making it difficult to control. The &ehicle may only mo&e or attack if you first roll a !
or more on a d#. 't may still shoot normally.
2 The controlling entity is badly damaged. All the &ehicle's characteristics are hal&ed for the rest of the game.
3 - " The engine bursts into flames & the &ehicle is immobilised, though it may still shoot normally. Roll a d# at the beginning
of each player's turn. (n a 1 or ) the &ehicle e$plodes. Any models within *+ suffer d# ,1- hits with a -* sa&e.
5 The entity controlling the &ehicle is destroyed. The &ehicle staggers d*+ in a random direction , colliding with anything
mo&ed into, & then collapses to the ground.
6 The &ehicle's ammunition e$plodes% The &ehicle is destroyed & any models within *+ suffer d# ,1- hits with a -* sa&e.
Bi#e or !ar$i#e
1 The &ehicle's mounted weapon, .the weapon fired by the pilot/ is destroyed & may no longer be used. 'f it has no such
weapon then the &ehicle itself is damaged. 0rom now on the &ehicle's ma$imum speed is reduced to its slow rate only.
2 The &ehicle's mounted hea&y weapon, .the weapon fired by the gunner/ is destroyed and may no longer be used. 'f it
has no such weapon then the &ehicle itself is damaged. 0rom now on the &ehicle's ma$imum speed is reduced to its
slow rate only.
3 The controls are damaged making it difficult to control. Roll a d# at the start of each of the &ehicle's mo&ement phases.
(n a !,1 or # the rider is able to keep control and the &ehicle mo&es normally. (n a 1,) or * the &ehicle mo&es out of
control for that turn.
" The &ehicle's wheel is blown off and it flips o&er, killing the rider. The wreck comes crashing to the ground d#+ away in a
random direction. Anything under it when it lands takes d* ,# hits with a -) sa&ing throw modifier.
5 The engine e$plodes, killing the rider. The wreck hurtles out of control ne$t turn before coming to a permanent halt.
6 The &ehicle's fuel catches fire, killing the rider. The flaming wreck hurtles out of control ne$t turn then e$plodes, causing
d* ,2 hits with a -* sa&ing throw modifier on all models within *+.

1 - 6 Roll to see if the crewman is damaged using the normal shooting rules.
'f the dri&er3pilot is killed the &ehicle will mo&e out of control for the remainder of the game unless another crew
member takes o&er, or until it hits terrain it cannot cross, collides with another &ehicle or building, or lea&es the table.
'f a gunner is killed then his weapon may no longer be fired unless another crewman takes o&er.
(ngine
1 The &ehicle's controls are damaged making it difficult to control. The &ehicle may only mo&e or attack if you first roll a !

2 - 3 The cooling system for the engine is damaged and the &ehicle starts to o&erheat. Roll a d# at the beginning of each
player's turn. (n a roll of 1 or ) the &ehicle e$plodes. Any models within *+ suffer d# ,1- hits with a -* sa&ing throw
modifier.
" - 6 The engine e$plodes, destroying the &ehicle & causing d* ,2 hits with a -* sa&ing throw modifier on all models within *+.
Leg
1 The leg holds, but the force of the blow slows it down. The &ehicle may not mo&e in it's ne$t turn.
2 The &ehicle is knocked sprawling. 't staggers d*+ in a random direction, colliding with anything it mo&es into.
3 - " The leg is seriously damaged. The &ehicle may now only limp 1d*+ per turn.
5 - 6 The leg is blown off and the &ehicle crashes to the ground. 't may not mo&e or attack for the rest of the game, and is
effecti&ely destroyed.
Hull
1 Any hull mounted weapon is destroyed and may not be fired for the rest of the game. 'f there are no weapons mounted
on the hull, count this result as )-* instead.
2 - 3 A large e$plosion tears through the crew compartment. Roll a 4# for each crew member5 (n a roll of !" they killed.
" The &ehicle's engine e$plodes, killing the crew. The &ehicle is spun around to face in a random direction by the force of
the blast and then comes to a permanent halt.
5 A spark ignites the fuel tank and it bursts into flames, killing all of the crew. The flaming wreck mo&es out of control ne$t
turn and then e$plodes. Anything within *+ of the point where it ends up is caught in the e$plosion, suffering 4# ,1- hits
with a -* sa&e modifier.
6 The &ehicle's ammunition or fuel tank e$plodes, destroying it and all models on board. Any models within *+ 4# ,1- hits
with a -* sa&e modifier.

6 The &ehicle's fuel e$plodes, killing the crew. The wreck plummets to the ground )d#+ away in a random direction. 6hen
it hits the ground its ammunition e$plodes, causing d* ,2 hits with a -* sa&ing throw modifier on all models within *+.

1 The track is damaged, but keeps running. The &ehicle may only mo&e at slow speed for the rest of the game.
2 - 5 The track is blown off. The &ehicle mo&es out of control ne$t turn and then comes to a permanent halt.
6 The track is blown off and the resulting damage smashes the &ehicle's dri&e shaft causing it to flip o&er. The wreck
comes to rest 4#+ away in a random direction, and any model it lands on takes 4# ,7 hits with a -) sa&e modifier. Roll a
4# for each model on board, they are killed on a !,1 or #. ,ur&i&ing models may dismount using the normal rules.
+urret
1 The weapon mounted in the turret is damaged and may only be fired if you first roll a ! or more on a d#.
2 The turret is ammed and may no longer rotate. Any weapon mounted in it may only fire in a straight line at targets that
are directly in front of it.
3 The turret gunner is killed. 8nless manned by another crew member any turret weapons may no longer be fired.
" - 6 The ammunition stored in the turret e$plodes and the &ehicle is destroyed. All the crew and passengers are killed and
the turret is blown off, flying )d#+ in a random direction before it crashes to the ground. Anything under the spot where
it lands takes d# ,9 hits with a -# sa&ing throw modifier.
!ea'on or )'on,on
1 The weapon is damaged and may only be fired if you first roll a ! or more on a d#.
2 - 5 The weapon is destroyed, and may not be fired for the rest of the game.
6 The weapon is destroyed as abo&e, but the e$plosion causes a flashback resulting in a secondary e$plosion. Roll on the
damage table representing the &ehicle's main body, hull or engine.
!ing or +ail
1 The wing is clipped, making mo&ement difficult. The &ehicle may only tra&el at slow speed from now on.
2 - 3 The &ehicle's tail is damaged making it difficult to control. Roll a 4# at the start of each mo&ement phase. (n a roll of ! -
# the &ehicle mo&es normally. (n a roll of 1 - * it mo&es out of control for that turn.
" The tail is badly damaged. The &ehicle makes an emergency crash landing )4#: away in a random direction. Anything
under it when it lands takes 4* ,# hits with a -) sa&e. The crew can leap to the ground before it crashes, but if the
&ehicle mo&ed o&er 1-: in its last turn they suffer damage as normal.
5 - 6 The &ehicle's wing is blown off. The wreck plummets to the ground )4#: away in a random direction. 6hen it hits the
ground it's ammunition e$plodes, causing 4* strength 2 hits with a -* sa&e to all models within *:.
