Terrorism
Terrorism is when an individual or a group of people
use violence or threats to affect a people or a whole
country.
An example of terrorism would be the Boston
marathon bombing when a lot of civilians were
injured or killed.
When people think of terrorism they think of 9/11
which was when terrorist flew air planes into the
World trade center and ended up killing a lot of
people.
Definition Terrorism
September, 11
On September, 11
th
2001 the World trade center was
attacked and ended up collapsing which killed many
American lives.
Terrorist were responsible for 9/11 their lead Osama
Bin Laden commanded them to cause a world
tragedy.
3,000 people were killed during 9/11. Some people
committed suicide to avoid the planes many were
burned or crushed to death.
This tragedy occurred in New York.
This happened because the US intervened in the
Middle East which is why they were frustrated and
took their anger out on innocent civilians.

The US Response
The Patriot Act was signed into law by President
George W. Bush the act contains ten letters.
The Patriot Act was signed in October, 26 2001.
The Patriot Act changed the Foreign intelligence
Surveillance Act, books, and records.
The Patriot Act is conversational because it
allows the government to spy on American
citizens without a warrant.

The war on terror occurred because of 9/11.
Afghanistan plays a major roll in war terror
because thats where it took place.
The purpose of the war in Afghanistan was to
simply teach the people responsible of 9/11 a
lesson.
Osama bin Laden, al Qaeda, and Taliban are all
leaders of terrorism.
Al Qaeda is still in operation today, all though
Osama bin Laden was assassinated they
always have a plan b.
Al Qaeda is in Western Syria.

The Current Situation

Osama bin Laden was assassinated by US
troops in 2011.
America is perceived as a weak country due to
the fact that no one was aware of an attack in
September 11.
America isnt liked in the Middle East because the
US intervened there before.
There are 68,000 troops stationed in Afghanistan
today, theyre there to make sure that terrorist
arent plotting any attacks in the US.
President Obama feels that the war on terror isnt
over yet because wars dont end easily it takes
time to complete the mission.
