SV Power Private Limited (SVPPL), the Project Company, is promoted by
KVK Energy & Infrastructure Ltd. (Holding Company of KVK Group) and Maytas Infra Ltd. Project Company, has set up a 2.5 MMTPA Coal Washery plant near village Renki, Korba district of Chhattisgarh, India. Rejects generating from coal washery been used in the power plant for generation.
PLANT SPECIFICATION:- Plant Capacity: 500 TPH Annual Capacity: 2.5 MMT Type of washery: Batac Jig washery
PLANT DESCRIPTION:- The Raw Coal (200-0) mm size will be received from the mines through tipping trucks and the same would be unloaded in the 200 tonne i.e. 4x50 Tonne Hopper at the receiving pit. A Fixed Grizzly of opening 200 mm x 200 mm installed over the 4x50 Tonne Hopper to check +200 mm size. Any oversized coal, coming shall be manually broken. The Reclaim Belt Conveyor shall deliver the ROM Coal to the Vibrating Sizing Screen having 50 mm aperture. The underflow of the Sizing Screen (50-0) mm shall be transferred to the 1500 Tonne Crushed Raw Coal Bunker before the Batac Jig Coal Preparation/Washing Plant. The overflow of the Sizing Screen i.e. (200-50) mm shall be fed to a suitably sized Picking Belt Conveyor for manual picking of shale and stone. The picked shales and stones shall be discharged into the Shales transfer Belt Conveyor to be further disposed off through Refuse Bin. The picked Coal (200- 50) mm shall be fed to a Double Roll Crusher to crush it down to (-) 50 mm. The crushed product -50 mm shall be transferred to the 1500 Tonne Crushed Raw Coal Bunker before the Batac Jig Coal Washery. Raw Coal Storage of (-) 50 mm size (2 x 750 T) for a storage of 3 hour is envisaged. A Tripper Belt Conveyor shall discharge the (-) 50 mm size screened/ crushed coal on to the Bunker. The (-) 50 mm size raw coal shall be discharged from the bottom of the Bunker to the Reclaim Belt Conveyor. The Reclaim Belt Conveyor shall feed the Raw Coal of (-) 50 mm size to the Sizing Screen installed in Coal Washing / Preparation Plant. In the Vibrating Sizing Screen, the deck shall have 13 mm opening. The overflow (50-13) mm shall be fed to the Batac Jig for further beneficiation. The underflow i.e. unwashed Fine Coal (13-0) mm shall be discharged to the Outgoing Clean Coal Belt Conveyor. Provision shall be kept to bye-pass the Coal Washing Plant. The Batac Jig shall beneficiate/wash the Raw Coal (50-13) mm into 2(two) products i.e. Rejects and Clean Coal respectively. Adequate nos. of Blowers and Compressors has been envisaged to supply jigging and control air respectively to the Batac Jig. The Rejects shall be elevated and dewatered in Rejects Dewatering Bucket Elevators and discharged to the Outgoing Rejects Belt Conveyor for onward ground disposal. The Clean Coal along with the water shall overflow from the Batac Jig. Primary dewatering shall be done in Fixed Screen followed by final dewatering in Vibrating Dewatering Screen. The Dewatered Clean Coal shall be discharged on to the Outgoing Clean Coal Belt Conveyor for Ground Disposal along with unwashed (-) 13 mm Coal. Plant is equipped with 4 nos of belt weigher on reclaim conveyor from receving pit, feed conveyor to washery, clean coal conveyor and reject coal conveyor respectively. Auto sampler provided in reclaim conveyor to crushed coal bunker, clean coal conveyor and reject coal conveyor. 2 nos of online ash analyser provided on feed conveyor to washery and clean coal conveyor. Entire plant is fully automated and operated through the PLC in the control room. SALIENT FEATURES 500 TPH wahery Bottom air pulsated Batac Jig Online ash analyser each one at raw coal feed and clean coal Well equipped lab with LECO AC 500 bomb caloriemeter Storage capacity upto 50000MT available within premises Green technology where no chemicals been used
BASIC OPERATION PRINCIPLE Density seperation process Coal of higher ash content has higher density compared to lower ash content coal BATAC JIG PROCESS:- Coal particles are held up on a perforated screen or plate in a layer many times higher than the thickness of the major particle. This layer or bed is exposed to an alternating increasing and decreasing (pulsating) flow of water to produce stratification, causing all the high density particles to move to the base of the bed while the low specific gravity particles assemble at the top of the bed.
