Third Party Equipment

1) Rig
- The rig can be a service rig or a drilling rig as long as it meets
Mexican regulations to work on the type of well that we will be on
(BOP Manifold etc!"! The rig must be able to handle a hookload of
#$%&&& da' and have a service rig tank and pump for circulating! (
single service rig that can stand back doubles of rods is all that is
re)uired typical mast height of %&*! +f a bigger rig is used time will be
saved in running rods and tubulars but is not re)uired for Petro,et!
2) Pumps
- +n -anada we typically specify frac pumps as they are readily
available however any pump or set of pumps that could achieve the
pressure and flow envelope would work! Pump(s" that can achieve a
pressure of ./-0&1 MPa with a flow rate between &!2m13min to
&!4%m13min would work for this operation!
3) Other Equipment
- AutoDriller: 5e will need to rent an (uto6riller (from 'O7 or
Pason"!
- Rental Tans: 5e will need at least two $&&bbl tank and a transfer
pump for storage of water to use in the 8etting process!
- !e"tion #ill: (ssuming that casing is run and set through your 9one
of interest a section needs to be milled approx :m for each area that
the laterals will be exiting from!
$) Tu%ulars
- Rental &or !tring: to be sourced locally! ;pecification of a typical
tubing would be 1 03:< :0!1 kg3m or : 234< 00!.0kg3m =-4& with a
thread such as >ydril P>-.!
- Thread !uper'isor: Typically the >ydril (or e)uivalent" thread is
run with using a Thread +nspector to ensure the 8oints are made up
properly this helps to ensure no excessive re-cut charges from the
rental company! The +nspector Thread 5ashing ?)uipment and ;tab-
+n @uides typically rent for #A:&&& per day of use! 5e would need
them only while running in or out of the hole ideally : days per well!
- Rod !tring: To be sourced locally! 5e re)uire a string of 13$< >i
;trength ;ucker Bods which are used to CdriveC the Petro8et drill string!
() )luid
- The fluid re)uired for the 8etting process can be fresh or produced
water and may contain D-= or D:;O$ depending on what is re)uired
for the formation! Obviously fresh water is generally the least
expensive and easiest to work with! (s for volumes assuming that
there is circulation throughout the 8ob there should only be a
re)uirement of 0&-$&m1 of fluid per well!
Petro*et Equipment
Petro,et would bring the following e)uipment to Mexico in a $&* ;hipping
-ontainerE
- +i Pressure Top !eal: ( stripper packer that is rated to 0&1Mpa
- Polished Rods: (pprox 0:& m of &!2%F modified polished rod
- Drilling !pears: 5e would either bring an estimated load of spears
that would complete this 8ob or bring a roll of coil that we can use to
make the spears on location!
- &hipsto"s: @radual ?xit Tool - 5e would bring the re)uired
whipstocks for the entire 8ob likely being one for every 0-: wells!
- !,edge- )lo, T- .oil /OP: 5e will provide all surface e)uipment
re)uired to operate the system!
- )iltersE Typically we desire the fluid to be filtered down to 0&
microns to extend the life of the drillheads! This sort of filtration should
be available off the shelf in Mexico or it can be included in the
e)uipment that we bring in our ;hipping -ontainer!
(dditional +nformation that we would like to have about
the wellsG
porosity
permeability
bottom hole pressure
bottom hole temperature
$<-.< core samples (if possible"
openhole logs
daily drilling reports and3or mud logging reports
any rock strength information that is available
