About the Event

Innocent Heroes Foundation in association with Symbiosis Institute of Design have
organized an "Inter NGO Fashion and Creative Workshop" for the underprivileged children
beginning from 30th November till 5th December 2009.

It will be a 6 days workshop, from morning 10 am to 4pm. There will be 8 NGO's participating.
Each NGO will have 5 children along with their volunteer. Symbiosis will provide the Technical
Guidance on the “Fashion Design and Creative Workshop” and with the Designing Faculties ,
Technical Instructor and Students to assist the underprivileged children in the filed of design
and creativity be it sketch the product and the details on it whether it is embroidery or certain
kind of patch work or dyeing etc. Eventually the children will be assisted in planning, execution
and division on the last day for the competition.

The 6 day workshop will be held in the premises of Symbiosis Institute of Design. These
children will also be interacting with other college students and will be sharing their experience
and meal with them. I am sure the interaction and the feel of an International college campus
and the canteen will surely be a life time experience for these underprivileged children.

The opening ceremony will be on the 30th November (Day One) and introduction of the
workshop and an Induction to the participants.

Day Six, i, e 5th December, the children will display and exhibit their creativity in the form of a
presentation to the Judges. There will be a closing ceremony with award facilitation and
announcement of the best 3 teams. Day Six will be an open event for the guests and general
public to come for the exhibition.

Inspiration and Radio Mirchi will be our PR and Radio partner respectively and will be
doing the entire publicity, branding and awareness. The event will be covered by all daily new
papers and a live updates of the workshop will be aired on Radio Mirchi.

Prizes & Awards

Three best teams will be chosen. Certificate of participation will be provided to all.

“Innocent Heroes Foundation, under their new vertical “Neev” will create a
Marketing platform for these NGO’s and the products made by them. IHF, will
brand, advertise, create awareness, market and mentor for their products in a
National and International Market with the help of Tramod a designer retail outlet in
Pune.”
Objective

The main objective of this workshop is to give a platform of opportunities to the children of a
different society who are called orphans, street children, child labor, children of sex workers,
destitute and children at risk. These children are left behind in life because of the background
they carry. Many of them are taken care by NGO’s.

It is surprising the amount of creativity and talent that exists among these underprivileged
ones, all they need is an opportunity. This workshop will hone their creativity to the sky.

The total Cost of the Event is “One Lakh ten thousand only”. We will be glad to get the
main sponsor and the entire event can be branded after the main sponsor.

However, maximum coverage will be provided to all the sponsors as per their sponsorship
level.

We believe, even if these children did not have a good beginning in life we can always give
them a great future. This is our opportunity to expose them to a wonderful platform.
