Course Description:
This course is designed to expose the students to the real world as regards their field of
specialization, correlate their theoretical concepts learned inside the four walls of the classroom with that
of the actual scenario/field work. This will enable the students learn new methods, techniques, and best
practices that will allow them to effectively navigate the real-life challenges in their profession.
Course goal(s)
The goal of the course is to provide the students with fertile environment for the exchange of
information and ideas that will result in solutions to real-world problems, increased knowledge, and
personal satisfaction.

Teaching strategies:
This course is more on field activity, ocular inspection and hands-on activities that will equip them with
expertise and skills technical and soft necessary to further their study for their future endeavor.

Guidelines on class requirements
1. Attendance/Participation
Every student is expected to attend/participate the inspection trips as well as each
seminar-workshop as requirement of the BS SE curriculum; otherwise, you will be given a failing
grade.
2. Evaluation of Work:
For all works that are completed via hard/soft copy, i.e., terminal report and seminar-workshop
synopsis:
Please be careful to note the due dates and times for each home work assignment. LATE
submission will NOT earn the full credit.
3. Academic Honesty Policy, Disruptive Behavior and Plagiarism

a. Disruptive Behavior: You have the responsibility to conduct yourself in a mature manner in
class. Any behavior that interferes with the legitimate instructional, administrative or service
functions of the class is considered to be disruptive behavior Please respect your instructor and
your fellow classmates. This respect should be manifested in word, in tone, and in conduct.
b. Plagiarism and cheating will not be tolerated. If you engage in either of these activities on any
projects/requirements (terminal report/synopsis, etc.) then you will receive no credit for the
assignment and will receive a failing grade.
