Message from the Board
The Board of Directors of Torrey Pines High School Foundation is
pleased to welcome you to the 2007-08 school year. As parents of
TPHS students, you are automatically members of the Foundation
which provides financial support and volunteers that make our school
special and outstanding. All of us have inherited a strong legacy of
parent support and involvement. We have a responsibility to carry that
legacy forward and strengthen it. Together we work towards supporting
the Shared Vision and all 50+ extracurricular activities that anchor our
children to school community life. Join us in this effort. Please contact

2008 Spring Auction Committee is in Action!!


Event Chair Denise Small and Committee Members are busy making plans for the March 15th event at the Belly Up in
Solana Beach. The evening will include great entertainment, food & fun! For the first time, the auction will be held on-line
and will feature exciting travel destinations, restaurants, services and entertainment packages. If you or your company
have items to donate, please contact Jackie Busch, Auction Chair at oski@san.rr.com.
The next Auction/Event Committee meeting will be on Thursday, October 4th. New volunteers are always welcome.

Join us in spending a casual evening with Principal Brett Killeen, administrators,


teachers and friends. You will have the opportunity to donate directly to your
student’s classrooms. Donations will be used to purchase classroom enhancement
materials that have been requested on a Mini Grant application by teachers.

New Spaces Coming Along at TPHS!

Dance and Music Students Excited Athletic Facility Building Project in Progress
The former Text Book room is now home to Dance and The new building will house a Football Coaches Office,
Music classes. There’s lots of room for working out, Football Team Room, Trainer Room, Girls Team Room and
under the direction of instructor Michael Langford! Storage.
