Tournament teams will be picked as follows:

Each player from the farms, minors, and intermediate division teams
will receive a roster with all of the players from their team on it. The player
receiving the roster will have their name crossed off. Players cannot pick
themselves; if they do, this vote will not count. The players will be instructed
to pick five players which they feel deserve to be on the tournament team.
These ballots will only be viewed by the Player Agent, and VP of Baseball.
These ballots will be kept in the strictest of confidence.
Coaches from each team will select the five players from their team
which they feel will positively effect a tournament team. These ballots will
also be kept in the strictest of confidence. These ballots will only be viewed by
the Player Agent, and VP of Baseball. If a coach shows, or discusses to a parent
or player the results of the voting sheet, that coach will void any chance of
coaching the tournament team.
The ballot votes will be tallied by the Player agent and logged per
player. The ballots will be shredded immediately after to avoid any unethical
viewing by any other person or party. This is necessary to avoid any chance of
bullying by a parent or player.
The top 12 players by peer vote in each age group will be selected. In
the case that two or more players have equal votes, the results of the tryouts
will fill the remaining slots on the roster.

Name Pitching Hitting Fielding Throwing
Strength/Accuracy
Total Votes
Betty 4 2 2 3 11 2
Billy Joe 1 3 1 2 7 1

Players will be ranked at tryouts by achieving more points. Four points
for each category. The stronger the performance the more points are
rewarded. Every 4 points earned, that player will receive one more player
vote. Tryouts are ONLY to fill the remaining slots on the team roster, or decide
players with equal votes. Tryouts DO NOT determine the top player picks by
their peers. The player vote is a closed vote. The player agent will fill the
remaining slots in the roster by the results of the tryout. If there are two or
three players with the same votes after the tryouts the player agent will
collect the coachs books and calculate OBP. The OBP will fill the remaining
slots on the team. If at the end of this entire process there are two or three
players still undecided the remaining players will be picked out of a hat.
Players will then be called at a date the follows little league rules. If one or
more players decline to play tournament ball the next player by ranking will
be asked.

Tournament Team Selection Guidelines

These guidelines are not to be misinterpreted or altered in
any form. The teams are picked by a player vote. In the case
that one or more players have the same vote, the performance
at a one day tryout will determine the players that fill the
remaining slots on the roster. The example below shows the
possible scenario.

The tryouts will consist of a pitching drill, throwing
strength/accuracy, hitting, and fielding. The players can earn
votes by the strength of their performance. Each drill will have
a maximum value of 4 points. Every four points will equal
another player vote. The extra player votes will be added to
the total player vote. The results will fill the remaining slots on
the roster. If after the tryouts, there are players with the same
amounts of votes, the player agent will rank the players by
total points scored at the tryouts. If there is still a tie in the
players rankings, the remaining players will be drawn out of a
hat.

A target will be set at home plate for the pitching drill.
Each player will get 8 balls to throw. The player will earn
points for accuracy and velocity. A maximum of four points can
be earned.
Each player will be thrown 8 strikes from the pitching
machine. Every two balls put into play that reach the outfield
grass will earn a point.
A target will be placed approximately 60 feet from a
starting point. Each player will be given 8 balls to throw at the
target. Accuracy and velocity will earn points. A maximum of 4
points can be earned.
Each Player will be hit 4 ground balls, and thrown 4 pop
flies. Proper fielding technique will earn players points. A
maximum four points can be earned from this drill.

The results will be tallied by the player agent, and VP of
Baseball. The player agent will list the players in order to be
called. The manager selected by the board, will call the players
in the order given to them by the player agent. If a player
declines to play, the player agent must be told the reason. This
is to ensure the manager selected to coach, calls the player in
the correct order. This is another way to ensure the integrity
of the process.
