Global Coverage in Container Transport

An answer for every emerging need

At Balaji Shipping, clients can avail of services and infrastructure with the inherent advantages of a high level
of customisation. Our container fleet comprises various types and sizes, which enables us to adapt to our
clients' changing business requirements from time to time. We are able to carry both in gauge and out of
gauge cargoes. Containers are maintained to the highest safety standards and managed by our in-house
logistics teams. The entire fleet is tracked by the latest on-line web-based software developed in-house and
especially custom made for our purposes. We are geared to provide transparent and accountable services at
all time.

Sea - Air

A dictionary will define the word "consolidate" as follows..."to combine into one unit." In shipping, to
consolidate cargo means to combine many small shipments, into one container or vice-versa (de-
consolidate).

Often, doing your own international sourcing is not as straight forward as dealing with a single supplier.
There are times when you may need (or choose because of price opportunities) to source component
parts from many different suppliers. It is crucial in this instance that you have a partner that
understands the need for an efficient, co-ordinated logistics capability that can provide quality
assurance at origin and co-ordinated consolidation of multiple inbound receipts to enable cost-effective
purchase of international freight.

Balaji Shipping understands this most implicitly. We can pre-prepare consignments to customers at
origin, enabling direct feed into domestic delivery streams immediately upon arrival at destination. We
have the resources and skills to consolidate the inbound shipments, do the required value-additions and
dispatch consignments to your end clients world-wide.

Today, a major success story is our ability to seize the opportunities in providing multi-country
consolidation container services and sea/air consolidation via the major hubs of Singapore, JNPT,
Colombo and Jebel Ali. The excellent infrastructure at these hubs, along-with long established trade
links with the entire world, constitute a superb foundation for MCC operations.

The advantage of moving cargo by the "Sea-Air" mode, serves two major purposes, 1) Cost effectiveness
for long haul cargo and 2) Saves on the actual transit times and assists delivery deadlines.

Balaji Shipping's wide partner network as well as our containerized movement into the various
consolidation hubs gives us an extra edge that enables us to seamlessly move consignments by using
our vast resources.

International Freight
Forwarding

Most customers now recognize that their global supply chain activity
is a key potential source of competitive advantage. The impacts of
globalized competition and the increasingly global capability of larger
providers has led to effectiveness, efficiency, quality service and
customer focused solutions becoming the key measures for providers
and their customers in any industry. This demanding environment is
where exporters and importers have to maintain their competitive
edge, and this is where the services and knowledge base of a global

transport enabler like BSL comes in handy.

Apart from operating our own NVOCC Operations, BSL through its
partner network offers excellent coverage for destinations which are
not served with our own containers. This is because we understand
the importance of providing "flexibility" and a high degree of
"customization" that our clients deserve.

We have contract rates with most major shipping lines on a world-
wide basis, which enables us to offer comprehensive market
coverage.

We do not believe in beating the price down to unreasonable levels,
but we dedicate our efforts to finding the most affordable price for
the right service, thus making it a win-win situation for all our
partners and customers. We firmly believe that customers who value
quality in their own products also appreciate the need and justified
cost for quality in the entire supply chain. Moreover, clients can rest
assured in the knowledge that their cargo is moving with the best
carriers who possess specific expertise for that particular region.

Reefer Carriage Solutions

There are two basic types of refrigerated containers (reefer): the porthole and
integral type. Porthole refrigerated containers, also known as insulated or conair
containers, do not have their own refrigeration unit and rely on an external supply of
cold air. Integral refrigerated containers, however, have their own integrated
refrigeration unit. Refrigerated ISO containers are commonly named according to
their length in feet: 20', 40', and 40' high cube containers.

Balaji Shipping has a large fleet of Integral Reefers, built to the highest specifications
and run by sophisticated electronic Carrier machinery. The high standard container
specifications and use of market leaders in the field of refrigeration equipment,
ensures that the cargoes entrusted to us are carried and delivered with minimal
deterioration in quality.

Monitoring of the cargo throughout the cold-chain and necessary surveys and pre-
cooling precautions ensure that the cargo always arrives....Faster, Fresher & Better !!
