UMLet is an open-source UML tool with a simple user interface: draw UML diagrams fast, export
diagrams to eps, pdf, jpg, svg, and clipboard, share diagrams using Eclipse, and create new,
custom UML elements.
1.1 How to download a tool to your own computer
1.1.1 Download Link:

Note: Click on UMLet 10.4 stand-alone to download & save it in any drive.


1.2 How to run the application

Once the download is complete open the .Zip File and click on extract & select the location

Once extract is done. Open the folder & click on Umlet Executable J ar File as shown below.

1.3 Main Features & Functions


1.3.1 If Palettes Menu is not present in Editor

If Palettes Menu is not present in Editor then they are two ways. Click on the Combo Box & select
the diagram you want to draw



1.3.2 If Combo box is not present
Since Combo box is not present in the Previous Versions. To select the diagram you want to draw
is to click on File->Open as shown below

Then select Palettes folder to select the diagram you want to draw:

Click on open once you select which diagram you want

Then click on File->Save as Select the file name from the palettes folder default.uxf

Once you save click yes to overwrite the default.uxf

Then close the application & open it or go to combo box & select default.uxf to display the diagram.


Now you can create your Class Diagram from Default.uxf .Double click on the element to draw the
diagram as shown below:

Go to File->Save & give the name of the file to be saved and then click on Save as shown below:




Once the file is Saved you can export to image or Pdf as shown below:
