HUDSON BAY COMPANY 2003 - 2008

SRM Supply Chain Manager

Managed 1.3 billion dollars in supplier relationship sales. Worked with vendors on reducing lead-times
reductions of over half million dollars in inventory additionally financial carrying costs. Implemented
servicing DC improving in store receipts by 3 days across Canada reducing handling charges, financial
carrying cost and transposition cost savings of over three quarters million dollars. Managed the
compliance charges and reversals totaling five million dollars. Project leads on new vendor set up,
vendor analyst, and vendor IT set up.

Manager Zellers Store

Managed $18 million dollar store. After taking ownership the immediate impact I have had on the store
are the visuals and product assortment. The associates feel better about the store and they are now
buying into the positive changes. The customers are now rewarding us with double digit sales increases
while the peer groups are struggling for sales.

SUNCOR ENERGY INC., TORONTO 2002 - 2003

Category Manager

Managed $21 Million revenue stream over 8 categories and 23 sub-categories. Responsible for product
movement, increased sales and improved gross margin. Supervised back office Envoy scanning system
and price book. Partnered with over 40 vendors.

 Conducted extensive research with AC Neilson, vendors, and industry competitors,


subsequently developing 23 Plan-o-grams to maximize sales opportunities, with consistent
product offerings at all stores.
 Negotiated and developed with vendors, a 12 month calendar, which increased efficiency and
ensured integrity of all promotions by allowing time for:
 More creative marketing,
 Accurate pricing and ordering,
 Seasonal and last minute sales opportunities.
 Leveraged preferred supplier relationship with National Post by initiating reciprocal agreement
on a promotion, which resulted in Suncor receiving 1 month of free advertising; and newspaper
increasing unit sales 25%. This success generated a request from the Post for a second
promotion
 Developed 2 new categories with projected revenues of $500,000:
 Capitalized on the in the car experience by launching high end portable entertainment products:
current DVD's, CD's and VHS,
 Identified opportunity in the product mix for an alternative snack and introduced a variety of
energy bars to meet the needs of health conscious consumers.
 Created and implemented a new concept for POS, achieving vendor buy in, with their
commitment to pilot and finance project for 6 months. This saved Suncor $24,000.
 Improved promotional exposure of Nestle Waters, which increased commission revenue 35%
and doubled rebate revenue.

Business Development Advisor 2001 - 2002

Managed 23 Sunoco retail outlets through independent owner operators, as well as gasoline sales in
excess of 126 million litres, over $5 Million in ancillary sales, and $13 Million in car wash sales.

 Partnered with retailers ensuring maintenance of the Sunoco standard of operations.


 Increased market share by 2 points over three quarters in 2002 Kent.
 Opened a new store in Burlington, testing the impact of no cigarettes on sales. Achieved the

SEVEN-ELEVEN 1995 - 2001

Field Consultant

Recruited, trained and motivated 9 store managers. Accountable for category management at store
level for 35 categories
 Grew sales to $17 Million through product selection and visual and POS merchandising.
Achieved a 183% improvement in overall bottom line operating profit through line-by-line
management of P&L.
 Achieved 3 years of double-digit sales growth by prominently merchandising new products.
 Managed SKU?s demographically which resulted in category profit in food service achieving

WENDY'S RESTAURANT'S OF CANADA, OAKVILLE 1992 – 1995

Responsible for 7 corporate stores with total financial accountability for sales in excess of $9 Million.

 Improved Districts net profitability in excess of 155% to budget, in addition to an 83% increase
over the prior year.
 Improved sales 5.8% by implementing an aggressive marketing campaign for late night drive
through?.
 Partnered with Hamilton radio station, which resulted in raising $11K for Chedoke McMaster
Hospital?s Mother's Day Telethon.
 Improved visibility and created good will in the community by sponsoring 1st Sledge Hockey
Tournament for paraplegic children, at Hamilton Winterfest.
 Influenced HR to increase corporate hourly wages for supervisors, to attract and retain
