Based on the use of radiometric separation proved possible to obtain cost-effective
conditional commodity products from low- carbonate manganese ores. Successful
completion of these developments and their practical implementation will allow to
substantially solve the problem of domestic industry through the development of cost-
effective Usinskoye, Porozhinskogo and other significant scale objects. On an example
Rayizskogo field developed optimal schemes enrichment poor disseminated chromite ores ,
which are able to solve the problem of effective cost-effective development of raw material
bases of the North Ural and Karelian regions.

FSUE "SIMS" is created which has no analogues in the world high-efficiency low-modulus
bauxite processing technology that allows for the resource base of the North Onega and
Timan areas cost-effectively scarce synthetic zeolite and alumina.

These technologies are used to assess the significance of industrial ore deposits explored both
the exploratory stage and the final stage - pilot tests, the development of temporary and
permanent conditions and calculation of reserves . They serve as the basis for the
development of scientific and technical documentation, ensuring standardization and
unification of technological evaluation of mineral resources in the early stages of geological
study.

Technology department of FSUE "SIMS" consists of the preparation laboratory and chemical
research laboratory. Department performed a complex research tasks for the development
of enrichment and processing of mineral raw materials and man-made. Works are carried out
with a constant accompaniment mineralogical using powerful analytical framework Institute.
As a result of technological regulations issued and carried out economic evaluation of the
proposed technology. At customer's request can also be made enlarged test of the
technology (technology or customer) with running an experimental batch
of commercial products.

Among the completed engineering works department - both large government contracts
and small business contract. Technologies developed using both traditional and new
(including combined) methods and techniques that allow the most complete extract
valuable components and dispose of tailings to obtain a wide range of marketable products.
More detailed work is available at VIMS our publications.

With years of experience and a variety of teaching materials , and SIMS currently remains the
leader in integrated study of various minerals . Rational combination of methods of
enrichment and chemical- metallurgical processing enhances the attractiveness of
investment in the search for and evaluation of new and revaluation of balance , and
balance of reserve deposits.

3. URB-2A2 drilling rig (exploration diamond core drilling):

This method involves a pipe encrusted in industrial diamonds to drill through rock layers, with a
"core" of rock being left in the centre of the pipe. This core is recovered and gives information
not only about the rock types, but also about the relationships between the rock layers in
detail.

The diamonds used are fine to microfine industrial grade diamonds. They are set within a
matrix of varying hardness, from brass to high-grade steel. Matrix hardness, diamond size and
dosing can be varied according to the rock which must be cut. Holes within the bit allow
water to be delivered to the cutting face. This provides three essential functions:
Lubrication.
Cooling.
Removal of drill cuttings from the hole.

Our proposed Russian's URB-2A2 rig (below figure) is carried out drilling geophysical and
structural wells rotary method with downhole cleaning by washing or blowing transportation
of broken rocks on the surface of augers.
Unit is mounted on the chassis ZIL-131A raised passableness and is driven by its engine.

Installations are located on the frame with a movable mast rotator, hydraulic jack and the
moving spinner support hydraulic jacks, hydraulic jack mast, transfer case, mud pump or
compressor, hydraulic devices and control panel.

PTO on the rig mechanisms is made from car transmission via the related PTO transmission
transfer within the installation. The power took from the drilling rig mechanisms which made
from car transmission via related PTO to transmission installation in transfer case.

One of the displacement axial piston pump supplies hydraulic motor
rotator, the second - hydraulic jack moving rotator. Gear pump nourishes

the hydraulic jack mast and rotator move when applying the tool to the bottom hole.

Rotator hydraulically moving the mast serves for unscrewing the drill pipe; it does provide an
opportunity to build a drilling tool without any departing.

It has three rotator speed range, the change is performed by entering the corresponding pair
of meshed gears. The mechanisms of rotator moving consists of a hydraulic jack and sheave
block system, the rotator moves up and down at double speed that relative to the jack rod.

Due to the supporting mast jacks and power supply system which connected with the
hydraulic moving rotator jack will provide automatic unloading for vehicle chassis from the
generated forces while lifting the drilling tools.

This drilling rig is equipped with a manually operated oil pump, providing the lifting for the
drilling tools and jacks supporting as well as translation of the mast in the transport position at
the failure event for the drive motor or transmission.

The rig's system is controlled with a remote control, as well as control of the drilling process.

This proposed rig is suitable for piezometer as well as many tests, such like Lugeon test which
important here in Sudan, because the Lugeon test is widely used to estimate average
hydraulic conductivity of rock masses. Variations in hydraulic conductivity are usually
measured in terms of magnitudes (e.g., 10
-2
to 10
-3
).

This rig will give the best samples preparation:
