&his course is an introduction to the persons, structures, and processes involved in the operation
o' the political system, including the study o' basic political concepts, institutions o' government, and
the comple( relationship bet)een the citizenry and the state. Focus is on the *hilippine conte(t and
contemporary issues and problems. &he course )ill also discuss the *hilippine political 'rame)ork
)hich )ill aid students to possess appropriate background regarding the institution, organization, and
operation and processes o' the *hilippine Government and various instruments that )ere devised to
strengthen the *hilippine State. &he #+,- *hilippine Constitution )ill serve as the basic instrument 'or
analysis.

nature of $o'ernment. Bhere applicable, the +hilippine political and $o'ernmental system and the
