OIST OVERVIEW
OGDCL established Oil & Gas Training Institute (OGTI) in 1979 with technical assistance from Canadian International Development Agency. OGTI has emerged as a premier institute in the petroleum sector of Pakistan catering for the training needs of Geoscientists and Engineers of OGDCL and other E&P companies operating in Pakistan.
The institute conducts various training programs in upstream sector with special emphasis on Exploration, Drilling, Well Services, Gas Processing, Production and Instrumentation. In addition, it also coordinates the local and foreign training needs of OGDCL professionals.
The institute has numerous facilities that include modern class rooms equipped with audio-visual aids, auditorium, technical library, huge collection of technical videos and specialized laboratories for exploration, production and well services.
In March 2013, the institute has been elevated to a degree awarding institute and renamed as OGDCL Institute of Science & Technology (OIST). The institute has initiated an MS Petroleum Engineering program and classes have been started since May 20, 2013.

PROFILE OF RESOURCE PERSONS
Engr Muhammad Inkisar Butt holds a Bachelor Degree in Metallurgy & Materials Science from Faculty of Engineering University of the Punjab, Lahore. He has 38 years of diversified experience in different industries including Oil & Gas sector. He has worked in local as well as overseas in China, Qatar and Yemen. He is a pipeline and corrosion specialist with practical experience in difficult scenarios of Oil and Gas sectors.
He also taught as visiting professor following subjects: 1- Cast Metal Technology 2- Iron Steel Manufacturing to faculty of engineering, University of the Punjab, Lahore.
He also delivered many lectures on metals and materials.
Engr Muhammad Naveed Raza holds a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore. He has extensive teaching experience in UET and University of the Punjab. He has also served in University of Petroleum & Minerals, Dharan, Saudi Arabia as a Research Assistant. He has worked in many organizations in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, and has more than 33 years of diversified experience in Industry, Training and Development.
