Jamie Broder is a partner in the Litigation practice of Paul Hastings and is
based in the firms Los Angeles office. She has extensive experience in all
phases of litigation, including state and federal court trial practice and appellate
advocacy.
Ms. Broder concentrates in complex litigation, professional liability,health care
litigation, intellectual property litigation, general business disputes, and
alternative dispute resolution. She has represented entertainment and media
companies including record companies, music publishing companies, television
networks, and a large news organization in a variety of litigation matters
including copyright infringement actions. Shealso represented financial services
companies, investment management firms, law firms, real estate developers,
and hospital companies.
Ms. Broder has substantial trial experience in both federal and state courts, and
has successfully triedseveral high profile cases.
Ms. Broder also leads the firm's Corporate Social Responsibility Program, which
encompasses the firm's Pro Bono Community Service and Charitable Giving,
Diversity and Environmental Sustainability efforts.
Recent Representations
Obtained a jury verdict in favor of National Steel & Shipbuilding Company in an
antitrust case in the United States District Court for the Southern District of
California

Successfully defended Kaiser Steel Corporation in an environmental case tried

in the United States District Court for the Central District of California

Tried a stock valuation case for The Irvine Company against Joan Irvine Smith
before a private judge in Michigan, obtaining an extremely favorable decision
for the client

subsidiary of Boehringer Mannheim, following a month long breach of contract
and fraud trial in Los Angeles Superior Court

Obtained a jury verdict in favor of Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center in a

contract dispute brought by a physician
