Fundamentals of IS (IS101). This course contains topics on Information Systems (IS). It
aims to discuss scope of IS, the different career paths and the representative capabilities and skills required of any IS graduate. This course introduces concepts and theories that explain or motivate methods and practices in the development and use of information systems in organizations. The concepts and theories contains information systems, management, and organization, information, quality, and decision making, relationship of Information Systems to organizational strategy. Personal Productivity using IS (IS102)-. This course intends to discuss the basic applications of the Microsoft Office, namely: (1) Microsoft Word; (2) Microsoft Excel; (3) Microsoft PowerPoint, (4) Microsoft Publisher and Internet Browsing. In detail, however, the course explores and applies the various menus, commands and shortcut keys of the different programs of Microsoft Office in the laboratory room. Finally, the course focuses on the preparation of a hands-on activity to accomplish that serves as the project of each student. Each project will have an assessment using a rubric. Databases (IS 202). This course will introduce to the students the concepts of database management. This will also teach the students the skill necessary to build and design databases.
