the IWB through the ILT sessions.
Reflection: Reflection: Reflection:
-Good to see people being involved in the
Teaching Inquiry, having a focus and some
linking to school focus. This also can link into
the appraisal system.
-Sharing and observing ideas and strategies
across school and sub cluster has been
beneficial and supportive.
-Student knowledge in the area of self and
peer assessment has improved. They are able
to use the language, give constructive
feedback to buddies, set their own and/or class
developed next steps.
-Student achievement has increased.

-Confidence is growing within the school.
-Check Ups have been great to help support
focus.
-Starting to develop a thinking toolbox for our
school.

-Confidence is growing within the school
when using IWB and other ICT tools.
-At school assemblies there is a lot more
sharing of work through the ICT medium.
-Staff are starting to store things online e.g. the
school Google site, network drives.

Next Steps: Next Steps: Next Steps:
-Continue on with Teacher Inquiry.
-Data and examples of T.I in action both
before and at the end of the Inquiry.
-We found it beneficial that there was a group
focus but we know that to include all and be
relative to all teachers there does have to be an
element of choice.
-Teacher developed resources to be stored on
google site.
-Make sure we have a regular sharing time e.g.
once or twice a term.
-Use this template to help teachers share and
record where theyre at.
- Develop assessment tasks based around key
understandings across the school
(progression).
- Complete documentation.
-Continue to develop own knowledge of
Inquiry and how we use it at Makarewa
School.
-In planning inquiries make sure there is a
range of outcomes e.g. social action, whole
school.
-Ongoing development of thinking and ICT
toolbox.

-Get ianimate on the C.O.W computers.
-Increase hardware in classrooms.
- Encourage parent/community involvement
and sharing using the classroom blogs.
-Run Parent Sessions to increase their
knowledge and encourage community
participation.
- Explicitly integrate ICT learning intentions
with our Inquiry planning if there is a natural
fit.
-Refine the Makarewa Learning Toolbox to
make it more user friendly and then implement
in the classrooms.
