The true understating of Motherland, My
Country, my land, Mine, MINE! MINE
MINE MINE!!!.........
It appears from many recent articles in Sri Lankan
News Papers that there is Still a good number of
people who seem to understand from a radical
point of View.I hope this short article will help us
understand the Reality of Society and The Global
Village we live in.Let us look from a different
point of view, before looking at MY-LAND.
My School: The sense of belonging only
arises if the person has studied in that school,
irrespective of the Period. Then again the
attachment only arises if they are proud of it
and they have beneted. After leaving school
theattachment is reinforced by social
participation either by being a member of
the Past Student Association,going to
witness Matches etc, meeting fellow

colleagues or contributing in some way.
In all the above cases it must be noted
there is no deep rooted Historical
Bond,but only to serve/participate.
My Company: A dedicated staff will always
consider it his company, so it is true by ex-
employees, who form associations almost
similar to schools. The comradeship keeps the
bonds strong with their ex-workplace.
The entrepreneur who started the Organization
cannot manage it for long and may invite other
Directors, and eventually go Public and even sell
off the very company he started. Yet his
attachment however strong will be the same as
other employees, eventually.

In all cases irrespective who started it; those in the
PRESENT organization and management are the
ones who show the greatest attachment; as the
very survival of the organization is based on their
VERY performance.
Thus t o perform t hey wi l l at t ract bet t er
students/employees to the organization/school.
Their rights and duties are same as those already in
the school/organization.
Thus those who had a history of employment or
as s oc i at i on hav e mor e r e s pons i bi l i t y
to preserve the Organization/School by recruiting
the correct management and students/employees
My Country: From the above explanation, it is
quite clear only those who live in the Country, are
the ones responsible to make it a better place
thus, others born in the Country but domiciled
elsewhere the attachment is only based on early
association.

Citizen: Is a person of a Country who enjoys 100%
of the rights of a given Country, irrespective if his
ancestors from the same Country or not. It should be
noted that Developed Countries to keep pace with the
development; offer Citizenship to selected
Professionals and Entrepreneurs. Thus many
thousands of Sri Lankans enjoy Other Citizenship
with the same rights as the Original People of
that Country.
Foreign Investor: Further in order to attract capital
and talent at a different level, Foreign Investors are
given more benets than its very own Citizens!
Naturally if you don't support their enterprise or
make them WANTED or deter people participating in
those enterprises they will shift their Resources to
Countries that will Welcome them.

Moral and Cultural Values with Historical
Bond: is supposed to be the main argument in respect
of the present situation.
They argue a certain set of minorities have radically
changed their Behavioral Pattern over the years and
want them to Reverse IT!
Do they want to Reverse It because;
1. The behavior is harmful to Society?
2. Creating Mischief in the Land?
3. Bringing disrepute to our beloved Nation?
4. Disrespecting other Religions or Cultural Values?
5. Human Ri ght s ar e vi ol at ed wi t hi n t hei r
Community?.... and the list goes on and on...
If there are any, why not the normal Justice and
Administration System take care in the normal
course....?

HOW UNFORTUNATE! When people who have
ability to change the mindset of people, preach
differently, so the masses do not patronize their
neighbors enterprises nor work with them!
Don't we see a sinister Hand that makes use of our
Simple Minds to meet their Objectives and Plans
that are difcult to fathom by Humble Beings.
We must erase the Shame brought to our Nation, by
openly canvassing a RIGHTFUL ATTITUDE
among All of US; especially those who have been
Brainwashed .

Rationality is a two-edged sword, and serves
the purpose of love equally as well as the purpose of
hatred.
Rationality is the platform on which the TRUTH
standeth.

Hatred is the most violent fever,
and the Buddha is the best physician.
Illusions, errors, and lies are the daughters of Mara;
great power is given unto them to seduce the minds of
men and lead them astray upon the path of evil.
There is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt.
Doubt separates people.
It is a poison that disintegrates friendships
and breaks up pleasant relations.
It is a thorn that irritates and hurts; it is a sword that
kills.
Do not believe anything (simply) because you have
heard it.
Do not believe ,because it is spoken and rumored by
many,

Do not believe,on the authority of your teachers n
elders.
But after observation and analysis
when you nd that anything agrees with reason
and is conducive to the good and benet of ALL
then accept it and live up to it.

against their behavior if they are not a public
nuisance?
2. How has the present Other Society evolved
over time? Have they not changed radically!

Dress: Does present society allow to show more
skin?More seductive clothing? Culturally OK!
Food: Many new varieties of food and Drinks (many
not suitable for a healthy lifestyle)
Transportation: Crowded, often men and women in
public transport are breathing upon each other!
Entertainment: Increase in alcohol, phonography,
loud lewd music with videos and games.
Behavior Pattern: Not culturally acceptable, many
conicts, violence, immorality, drugs n Jealousy.
Children: Obsessed with cartoons and games; no
moral values but violence n immorality.
Society: Getting used to immorality on screen, news
and drugs and alcohol, casinos.Injustices , the tyranny
of MONEY and Power.Change in the behavioral
pattern of children.FREEDOM!
Media: Unfortunately what sells in the media is
sensation. Please understand this is a business, and will
be bent on what the Public want to know and what the
Powers that may be will allow.
There is nothing called The Truth. Truth can be
recognized when it is benecial to ALL.

Crime: If crime has increased is it because of
changes in behavioral pattern of modern society or?
Markets: Malls, Online Shopping, availability of
International products, not available decades ago.
Religious Practices: Are people practicing their
Religion more than Others. Do they strive to
practice in its original form, without modifying it.
Do they do willingly ? look Happy ?
Society: Over the last few decades women at work
or seen in Public Places or Travel for work
overseas has grown many folds.Has Society
addressed the Safety, Sensitivities of these Women?
and, running Homes without the Mother, and the
resulting Social Issues ?Are we not as responsible
Human Beings required to address all these issues
consciously, without adhoc isolation of practices of
certain part of Society that are not infringing on
Others Rights, while MODERNISM with all its
Good and Bad are embraced as if something
Religious!

Science n Technology: The World has advanced so
much in medicine and IT, we hope they will help us
All to benet from it. Meanwhile it is an open secret
that during the World Wars many scientists were
catalyzed to look into inventions of mass destruction
and espionage science from mind manipulation to .....
The American Genius Nicola Tesla, invented over
hundred years ago devices to give Free Electricity to the
Masses, the Electric Car and is reported to have
sketched out in detail of death ray machines etc. None of
them have seen the Light of Day.In fact most of the
modern conveniences we enjoy from TV to remote
control equipment, is because of the many hundreds of
inventions of this Genius. Yet our school curriculum
does not even mention him!
In today's world of Commercial Greed and Power
Politics ,we must understand that there are at times when
something more than just meets the EYE.
