Once upon a time, a tired and poor traveller arrived in a village. He has no food, no money and more, he has not eaten for many days. The only thing he has, was a cooking pot which he seldom used.
But, the man did not get discouraged. He made a small fire, put that cooking pot on it and poured water in it. Some people in the village asked him about what he was doing. He answered that he was cooking a stone soup after an old and delicious recipe that he got from his forefathers. Then, he pulled out from his pocket a round, small stone and put it in the cooking pot. While the soup was boiling, the traveller was telling stories from his travels. Then, he tasted the soup and told that it still needed a little bit of salt. Another villager brought some salt for the soup.
In the meanwhile, another villagers stopped to listen to his stories. The man told them happily bucurie i spuse apoi c supa ar fi delicioas dac ar mai pune i nite morcovi sau ceap.
about him but also told them that the soup would have been delicious if he had put some carrots and onions in it. One of listeners told that he could bring them. And so our traveller continued to tell his story but at times he was telling them to bring some more celery, parsley, potatoes and spices which could make the soup more delicious. Everybody brought something. At last, the soup was ready and everybody was pleased to eat a tasteful soup which started with just a stone.
