Topic Vocabulary: Rooms (beds, chairs, tables) Skills: Reading, speaking and writing Lesson Plan aims: To provide students enough input through pictures and games, so that they feel sure to answer the questions made in class. By the end of my lesson learners will be able to create imaginary places and say what things are there.
Warming up At this stage I will stick on the board three pictures about the sea:
Then I will ask the students some questions like: T: Look at this picture (pointing one of them) Are there some houses? S: yes! T: Good! Now look at this one, (pointing to the picture with the boys playing the guitar) is there a bed? S: no! T: Very good! And I will continue with a few more questions in order to make an interaction with them. Then, I will say: I like the sea. There are a lot of fish of many colors. And then ask them whether they like it or not. I will do this pointing some students to answer the question.
Presentation I will ask them to open their books on page 56. I will tell them to pay attention in order to listen to me reading the text about Under the sea while they look at the pictures which are there. Then I will explain them what is the text about.
Practice After reading the text I will ask them to go to page 57 and start working with the activities 2 and 3.
After having activity number 2 completed I will check orally. After having activity number 3 completed I will check it individually and make them to write the complete answer on the board.
Production I will ask them do activity number 6 in pairs. The activity is about designing an amazing hotel. I will help them sticking the following picture about an unconventional form and write on the board some key words like: big rooms, drawings in the walls, video games.
Then I will say: Look at this picture. This is my hotel. It has the form of a ship. Inside there are a lot of beds, drawings in the walls, windows and also there is a video game room next to the swimming pool. And this way I will ask them to imagine a hotel with different forms and write their ideas on their folders.
