Icing Conditions
Takeoff in Icing Conditions When actual or forecast icing conditions exist at or below 1,600 ft., the takeoff must be carried out with:
APR set to ARM Engine anti-icing ON Flow selectors OFF Ignition - CONTINUOUS
Propeller and Engine/Elevator Ice Protection
Propeller and Engine/Elevator anti-icing must be switched ON during all ground and flight operations when in icing conditions and/or potential icing conditions are anticipated.
Propeller Anti-ice:
Temperatures -5C or warmer SHORT CYCLE Temperatures colder than -5C LONG CYCLE
Continuous Ignition If flight in heavy precipitation such as rain, hail or snow can not be avoided, the engine IGNITION switches must be selected to CONTINUOUS.
If taking off or landing on a contaminated runway, the engine IGNITION switches must be selected to CONTINUOUS.
