JOB PROFILE OF SALES MANAGER (AGENCY)



Organizational Status
Designation : Assistant Sales Manager / Sales Manager
Service Cadre : Sales Manager cadre (STM Grade)
Department : Sales & Marketing
Base Location : Branch Office
Reporting authority : Branch Head
Team : Insurance Consultants (Insurance Advisor)
Compensation P.A. : CTC of 1.92 to 2.40 Lakhs P.A. plus BQI with other Incentives and overrides opportunities.

Major Functionalities
Promoting life insurance business of the company in the assigned location and functioning within policy framework.

Role (Basic Objective of the Post):
To recruit, train, guide and mentor insurance consultants and generating new business and renewals for life
insurance products and adhering to all policies of the company and rules & regulations of IRDA.


Responsibilities:
Reference to the aforesaid Role & Major Functionalities, endeavor of ASM/SM has to discharge all responsibilities
under common vision & the policy framework of the company.
a) Achieving monthly, quarterly & yearly targets of new business generation & renewals assigned by the company.
b) Achieving targeted IC recruitments, IC Licensing and month to month activation of Insurance consultants.
c) Recruitment of new ICs, coordinating III training, Licensing examination and documentations for recruited ICs.
d) Attending joint sales calls in the field with insurance consultants.
e) Driving ICs to generate new business & renewals of life insurance products on daily basis.
f) Motivating ICs with various competitions, contests & R&R initiatives launched by the co. to achieve targets.
g) Conducting regular meets with Insurance consultant and exercising team building activities on regular intervals.


Required skills / certifications for the post:
Education : Graduate from any stream (12+3) from university affiliated institutions.
Age : 21 years to 26 years (Fresher), 21 years to 35 years (Experienced)
Personality traits: Good Interpersonal skill, willingness to move in the field, sales attitude.
Networking : Resident of local vicinity for last 3+ years.
Experience : Minimum 1 Year in Life /General Insurance in Sales channels (Agency, Banc assurance,
Corporate Agent/Brokers, Alternate channel etc.
OR
Minimum 2 years in Life / General Insurance co. as an advisor with the proven performance.
OR
Minimum 2 Year + of sales experience in any other consumer product/service company.
Preferably from consumer durables, banking & financial Services etc.
