Discontinuation of the systems Compactline 2.5 / Multiline MX













Reason:

The production of the Compactline 2.5 / Multiline MX is officially stopped. The systems are available
until March 2013. Spare parts and repairs are still secured.

The replacement product is the X2JET plus, which is fully compatible to the Compactline 2.5 and /or
Multiline MX.

The launch into the Markoprint product range coped the High-Speed print system X2JET plus 2012
with bravery. It offers a number of innovative features, that makes a decision for the X2JET plus
easy to take.
The system has, in contrast to the proved Compactline 2.5 / Multiline MX, the possibility to connect
two print heads, which are based on the thermal as well as on the piezoelectric principle. Hewlett
Packard (HP), Lexmark (LX) and Trident (MX) are available.
Products can be differently coded at two independent production lines, because the X2JET plus
supports one or alternatively two different technologies with variable head/channel parameterization
simultaneously. Print heights up to 200 mm are possible.
The integrated 5,7 TFT display and the keypad make the direct creation, editing and display of the
print layouts easier. Therefore the X2JET plus can be used as Stand alone system, because the
PC software iDesign isnt necessary. Anyhow all features can also be operated via the iDesign
software. A data transfer via USB-stick is also possible in combination with the X2JET plus. The
total navigation and operation is considerably facilitated by the usage of animated graphics.
Compared to the Compactline 2.5 / Multiline MX, the X2JET plus offers an extended performance
and storage capability. So the system can print with a maximum print speed of up to 240 m/min by
300 dpi (LX with Hi-Speed). The Compactline 2.5 had a top speed of up to 90 m/min by 300 dpi
(with HP). The higher storage capability is reflected in text-, font- and logo storage, which is 1 GB.
The requirements of the market brings us to the decision that the EIA422 interface will not be
hardware-technically supported by the system. Ethernet is the new standard for the industrial
integration and therefore also for the X2JET system generation. The X2JET plus uses M8
connectors for the sensor- and encoder inputs. For a replacement of a Compactline 2.5 an adapter
cable M12 M8 (art.no. 72901035) is necessary.
