I. First Grading Period
A. Objectives:
1. Name the place value of a fifteen-digit number.
a. Read and write five to fifteen-digit numbers in numeral and word forms.
2. Express numbers in expanded notation using exponents.
3. Identify the different relation symbols (<, >, =).
a. Compares whole numbers using the different relation symbols.
4. Order whole numbers through billions.
5. State and apply the rules in rounding off whole numbers.
6. Round off numbers up to trillions.
7. Recognize the different properties of addition and multiplication of whole numbers.
a. Apply the different properties in performing addition or multiplication.
8. Add four to fifteen-digit numbers.
9. Subtract three to twelve-digit numbers from three to fifteen-digit numbers.
10. Multiply whole numbers with up to 15 digits by one to three-digit numbers.
11. Divide four to six-digit numbers by two to four-digit numbers.
12. List the hierarchy of operations.
a. Simplify mathematical expressions involving different hierarchy of operations.
13. Understand the divisibility rules of numbers.
a. Apply the divisibility rules of numbers.
14. Apply the divisibility rules of numbers in finding the factors of a number .
a. Find the factors of numbers up to 1,000.

15. Identify prime and composite numbers.
16. Understand the concept of prime factorization.

10. Name the different parts of a graph.
11. Interpret legends used in graphs.
12. Read and interpret data presented in a graph.
13. Determine the most appropriate kind of graph to be used for a particular set of data.
