Job description

MDM Solutions Architect will be member of the IBM BAO-CoC and will be based out
of India. The Solution Architect will be responsible for pre-sales, strategic co
nsulting, solution outline and design for MDM engagements across the globe. Cand
idates should have prior experience in Consulting and presales
The selected candidate will have following responsibilities:
Provide proven expertise in architecting and implementing MDM solutions using to
ols like InfoSphere MDM server, InfoSphere MDM server for PIM and Initiate Syste
ms
Provide pre-sales support for MDM opportunities
Provide strategic consulting for MDM engagements (like MDM blueprint and roadmap
definition etc.)
Perform solution outline, and responsible for requirement gathering for MDM proj
ects
Perform Macro & Micro design of the MDM application using MDM tools
Implementing the Master Data Management solutions
Participate in TDA and SME reviews of MDM opportunities/ engagements
Jump-start of the MDM projects
Experience and expertise architecting and implementing systems that can handle l
arge datasets in parallel on massive clusters
Hands on experience with Big Data Tools such as BigInsights, Cloudera, Hortonwor
ks, MapR
Strong foundational knowledge and experience with a range of big data components
such as HDFS,HBase,Oozie, Pig, Hive,Avro, Zookeeper, Sqoop and Flume
Expert on distributed computing design patterns such as MapReduce
Knowledge of NoSQL platforms (e.g. key-value stores, graph databases, RDF triple
stores)
Hands-on experience with ""productionalizing"" Hadoop applications (e.g. adminis
tration, configuration management, monitoring, debugging, and performance tuning
)
Previous experience with high-scale or distributed RDBMS (Teradata, Netezza, Gre
enplum, Aster Data)
Broad understanding and experience of real-time analytics , data modeling and da
ta management , analytical tools, languages or libraries (e.g. SAS, SPSS, R , Ma
hout)
Knowledge and application of full text search engine library like Apache Lucene.
Knowledge of JAQL
Exposure to Natural Language Processing
Additional skills required:
Strong executive presence and experienced at managing CXO level relationships
Ability to accommodate extensive global/regional travel (70% or more)
Excellent written and verbal English skills

Bachelor's Degree
At least 10 years experience in Dataware house
At least 3 years experience in Big Data
At least 3 years experience in Consulting & Presales
