Sudoku-board game (2
nd
GAME)
Introduction
Sudoku originally called Number Place is a logic based puzzle. The modern Sudoku was most
likely designed anonymously by Howard Garns, a 74-year-old retired architect and freelance
puzzle constructor from Connersville, Indiana, and first published in 1979 by Dell
Magazines as Number Place (the earliest known examples of modern Sudoku)
Objective
The objective is to fill a 99 grid with digits so that each column, each row, and each of the nine
33 sub-grids that compose the grid (also called "boxes", "blocks", "regions", or "sub-squares")
contains all of the digits from 1 to 9. The puzzle setter provides a partially completed grid, which
typically has a unique solution.

Typical Sudoku puzzle

Mechanics

There are many ways to solve a Sudoku puzzle. In the class, since we are divided into 6 groups
the group that completed the puzzle faster will get the higher score. In case no one completed
within the given time period the group with the more numbers of correct entries in the puzzle
will get the higher score.

Facts

Sudoku caused a 700% increase in the sales of pencils !!!

Mr. Agress has reached level 61 in his Sudoku puzzle game in his cellular phone. Actually the
previous statement was nonsense and irrelevant. You may ignore it.
