I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course presents the historical transition of literature through studying
randomly-selected pieces of literary works of notable Filipino writers. The historical
perspective starts with the Pre-Spanish Period and ends with the Contemporary
Period in which distinction of the characteristics and themes of the different literary
works for each period can be clearly observed.

II. COURSE OBJECTIVES
1. To distinguish the characteristics of literature in every period
2. To identify the notable Filipino writers who contributed much in the literary
heritage of the country
3. To appreciate the Philippine literary heritage through studying and reading
literary compositions of the Filipino writers.
4. To create ones own literary compositions like poems, songs, etc.

I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is a sequel to Principles of Teaching I which highlights and focuses
more on the application of the different approaches, strategies, and methods in lesson
planning inside the classroom may they be conventional and common strategies or
creative and reflective strategies. Furthermore, this presents the ways in producing
and utilizing instructional materials which are very necessary in teaching-learning
process.

II. COURSE OBJECTIVES
1. To delineate the difference between traditional lesson planning and modern lesson
planning through various lesson plan critiquing
2. To make lesson plans utilizing the different methods
3. To formulate lesson objectives that are suited to the level of the needs of the
learners
4. To create instructional materials that have immediate applicability in the
classroom
