Objective

To pursue graduate studies for a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science to seek a career
design and development of software products.

Education
M.S.Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore | Aug 2005- June 2009

Degree: Bachelor of Science

Major(s): Information Science

Project Profile
1.Classification by Decision Tree Induction and Rule Extraction.
Tools: Eclipse
Language: Java
The need of the hour is to extract knowledge from the available data. Also the data volume is increasing
rapidly. Another point of concern is the data security. The project suffices these requirements.

Classification is a form of supervised learning i.e., the data set has the target class labels set beforehand.
Classification algorithm begins by dividing the data set into a training set and a testing set. The training
set is used to build a classifier model by decision tree induction. The model so built is presented in the
form of a decision tree. For readability and understandability, the classification rules are generated using
rule extraction.

Thus the classifier aims to classify the metadata which in turn takes care of classifying lower level data.
Its applications range from banking, document classification, image processing, bio informatics to web
mining.
2. Hashed Index, An approach in File Structure

Language: C++

This project has been designed to suit the needs of all those users who need to access and use a student
record, for various intended purposes. It enables the users to initialize, assign and modify values of all the
student records, apart from specialized functions like handling buffers for each record.

Hashing has been used to improve the performance of file and space utilization. The project
demonstrates the recursive nature of directory structure over more than one level. Operations like
doubling of directory size and space utilization have been demonstrated.

Employment Experience

Got placed in “Accenture” and “Tyco International” through on-campus recruitments conducted in MSRIT
in the year 2008.

Tyco International, Bangalore, India | Aug 2009- Present Test Engineer
