THE NEW ILOILO CITY HALL

It is an 8 storey building with the fusion of age old grand architecture replicated
from exterior style of Customs house, UPV Iloilo Library and windows of Masonic
Temple
The structure is built on green building concept that it has rainwater harvesting,
waste water treatment facilities and big windows that maximize daylight and
minimum use of fluorescent lights.
Top of the dome is the LIN-AY a figure of beautiful pleasant lady, an icon of
ilonggo pride and culture.
City gallery
Now considered as one of the Citys tourist attraction.
Gives a short glimpse of Iloilo Citys glorious past and rich cultural heritage found
inside the building.
Showcases ilonggos good governance and cultural excellence highlighting citys
awards, famed festivals and creative arts.
Plaza libertad
Once called Plaza Alfonso where the flag of the republic of the Philippines was
raised on December 25,1898 by General Martin Delgado.
Iloilo was the last Spanish Capital in the Philippines that surrendered to the
revolutionaries.

San jose church/iglesia de san jose de placer
The fortress church was made originally to copy the Miguelete Church of
Valencia,El Cid in spain.
Built by Fr. Mauricio Blanco in 1873 with stones and bricks.
One of the most treasured processions of the church is the statue of Our Lady of
the Most Holy Rosary.
