The purpose of this magazine is to pro-
vide you with specialized information from a
unique community; dedicated to and built up-
on the Love and Light of Michael Jackson.

We bring you this material by way of the
countless groups and projects created be-
cause of Michael Jackson.

This magazine will be dedicated to those pro-
jects with undertakings that build up the com-
munity; and actually possess the healing and
light properties needed to help change a
world filled with darkness and a community
that has become infested with it.

We wish to provide the Community Trunk,
the new body of Michael Jackson, with
information about new and delightful sup-
port projects. There has been too much
Junk attached to his trunk and it is time
we start anew by peeling away the old
and rotted garbage from his amazing
trunk, his community.

We hope you will be a part of the solution
and not the rubbish.

There should be no room for old junk in a
new trunk. Michael is a new creature in
Christ Jesus. All the old has passed away
and behold, all things have become new.
We wish to be an avenue to the beautiful
things going forward; and share those things
in this magazine once a month. We want to
appeal to the rooted fans as well as the inno-
vative.

Dont put JUNK in your new TRUNK. It deval-
ues your new found treasure.

FEATURED FAN ART
My name is Viola White, and I'm a Hungarian
-born illustrator. I started drawing at an early
age, before my first year at elementary
school. At first, drawing was actually not my
favorite pastime, but later on it grew to be
one of my most important passions.

I first earned a reputation
for my graphic art de-
signs, as well as for my
black and white drawings,
and later I moved on to
experiment with colorful
paintings, too. The tech-
niques I apply in my art-
work do not only depend
on the mood I am in, but
also on the theme and the size of the work of
art I am supposed to produce.

I enjoy making illustrations for books, for chil-
drens books in particu-
lar, but human portraits
are my absolute favor-
ite. More often than not,
I choose a model whose
appearance or person-
ality is appealing to me.
I often draw or paint ce-
lebrities, and I'm also
happy to do childrens
portraits.

I have been told many times that the models
soul is also depicted in my portraits, and you
can almost sense the model's personality. It
has always been a challenge for me how to
convey human emotions, and I could not
agree more with the saying that the eyes are
windows to the soul'. I
think it is especially true
in Michael Jackson's
case: his eyes are just
as telling as his whole
being.

I remember when I was
a little girl, I found him
too impulsive, too wild,
but later on my opinion
changed, as I learnt more about him. Unfor-
tunately, I never had the chance to meet him
person.

The first surprising experience I had in con-
nection with him was when I heard him
laughing with abandon. There was a kind of
childlike charm in his laugh, which I think is
rare in adults. I really love the way he laughs
and smiles.

I got to know him
through his singing
first, but later on I was
fascinated by his
astounding ability to
dance. As a child I saw
lots of his music vide-
os, and I was always
amazed how much it
was possible to ex-
press human emotions with the help of
dance moves..
Michael was unique in this as well: what I
especially admire about him is his readiness
to experiment and mix different dance styles.
The childlike curiosity which showed when
he laughed was apparent in his dancing and
his singing, as well.

Whenever I make a full-
length drawing of him, I
try to depict his incredi-
ble pulsing energy,
which was so character-
istic of him. On stage he
was like a tornado: ele-
mental, instinctive, you
never knew what was
coming next. His whole
personality was full of surprises. And when I
draw a portrait of him, I usually focus on his
eyes. Michael's eyes were able to convey a
whole flood of emotions, that is exactly the
main reason why I love to draw or paint him.

I like the gracefulness of his movements, es-
pecially when he puts together unlikely
dance moves, like in the case of Bad, but
Im also very keen on the pure elegance that
you can see in Who is it. He paid special
attention to visual representation, and he
was very circumspect.
I think the world lost a true magician, but for-
tunately his rich legacy is here to stay with
us.

Michael first came into my life, in a very big
and real way, with the advent of his album Off
The Wall. I thought who is this beautiful boy?
His charisma and essence just leaped off the
album cover and he had me, hook, line and
sinker. Both his music and his photo had me
right there, with my heart in the cross hairs.
After that I knew who Michael was and fol-
lowed his thrilling career. As I grew up and life
took hold he receded to the background, yet I
was aware of him, his enormous successes
and the trials and tribulations he endured. I
also was deeply appreciative of the legacy he
was crafting: the greatest entertainer of my
generation.
As his life was gathering momentum on the
world stage my life was taking shape in the
form of career and family. It was a heady time
of tumult and change as our generation exert-
ed its influence. It was against this back-
ground that I earned my BA and MA and built a
career. There was even a time, from the late
90s until 2005, that my focus was purely on
career and family and Michael dropped from
view. I heard about the trial during 2005. It
was painful to me that he had to experience
such a galling, soul destroying experience. I
knew he was innocent, period. Then he was
found not guilty and life continued . . . until
June 25, 2009.

When Michael
transitioned he
blazed a path
straight through
my heart and soul.
He rocked my
world. Never ever
had I experienced
anything this pro-
found or sacred.
Words continue to
defy an adequate
expression. I was
the one who coined the phrase Lightening
Bolt experience. All I could think of was how
that lightening bolt had rearranged the cells,
atoms, molecules, nucleus, protons, and neu-
trons in the fabric of my essential being. I was
altered. I would never be the same. I was cre-
ating art prior to Michaels passing. I had start-
ed sculpting in the mid-90s and migrated to
watercolor in the
mid 2000s. When
he died I quit creat-
ing art. I cannot
explain the reason
for this. It took me
three years to pick
up the paint brush
again, this time
painting Michael.

Michael will always be a part of my internal
dialogue especially when I am in the zone. He
visits me often and I could share many stories
in what concrete ways this occurs. He and I
are the best of friends, the very best. I adore
him. He assists me at the times when I need
help most and even when I forget to ask him,
he will appear in a dream with just the perfect
help.
If I have learned anything from Michael it is his
example of courage, grace under pressure
and his focus on the well-being of children the
world over, the condition of our blessed Moth-
er Earth and all of her creatures.

Most recently my focus has turned from paint-
ing Michael and other fun subjects to the plight
of our companion animals. As I became more
adept at being a member of social media the
heart-breaking reality of what our dogs and
cats experience in the broken shelter system
in the USA has come to my attention as well
as the plight of cats and dogs used in terrible
medical experiments.

Now I was born with a great sensitivity to the
animal kingdom and any cruelty toward them
has always been devastating to my equilibri-
um. I was not
strong enough to
handle the deluge
of emotional up-
set this
knowledge
brought. I had to
look away. I had
to pretend and deny. But something changed
along the way and Michael was a part of it. I
thought how can I say this knowledge brings
me suffering when its the animals that are suf-
fering and dying? I had to find a way to look
straight into their animal spirits and allow them
a place in my heart. I had to process this
crushing grief. I thought Michaels heart is so
huge it included all the peoples of this Earth
and all her creatures. Surely my heart could
open enough to take in these animal spirits
and find a way to nurture and love them, even
if they were now in the spirit world.

During meditation the idea came to me. I
could honor them by painting them. I could tell
their story for them, now that they are gone.
Michael held me up during this transition. He
encouraged me and
held my hand as I tot-
tered onto this new
path. I feel his pride
in me. I am crying
now because I feel so
deeply the blessings
of his spirit, the lar-
gesse of his huge and
wide open heart, his
love.

This Michael Jackson soda can portrait by Seaton
Brown puts a new spin on the King of Pop's signa-
ture moniker. The 144-square-foot sculpture contains
some 1,680 aluminum soda cans, which Brown
bought from a recycling center at a cost of about
$600.

Surprisingly, the artist behind the Michael Jackson
soda can portrait doesn't even like soda. "I'm actually
not much of a soda drinker," he admitted. "The pic-
ture I worked from was from Michael Jackson's Thrill-
er period, and the different colors picked out his dif-
ferent skin tones."

Although Brown made the Michael Jackson portrait
in 2010, it was recently purchased by Ripley's Be-
lieve it or Not! Museum in Hollywood.

POETRY

My Dearest Son Michael ,
I would like to send a letter to heaven
and address it to the one I love.
My child has left this world,
to be with the Lord above.
I would tell him that I love him,
and that I miss him loving touch.
I would say were lost without him
and we miss him - - oh so much.
I would ask if he could visit,
if we promised not to cry.
Maybe one more time to see him
We forgot to say "Good-bye."
We will try to control our emotions
we truly feel we could.
So please - - we need a visit.
We promise we'll be good.
It is so hard, we miss him.
Oh Lord, this feeling is the worst.
We know you gave him to us,
yes, we know you had him first.
But you called him prematurely,
I'm sorry I question your will.
I know you have your reasons
but Lord - - I miss him still.
If you'd only make an exception
please consider what we plea.
It is so hard accepting that our son
- - We will never see.
Oh baby I write you this letter
with all the love there is to be had.
Because it's just not me who's hurting
there's your children, brothers, sisters
and your dad.
We need so much to see you,
then we'll try to let you rest.
But if not in this world, baby,
then we'll see you in the next.
So Im sending a letter to heaven,
and pray you hear my plea.
But if the answer is not what Im asking
--
Lord come and rescue me!

Life Has No Words

Beloveds, now we know that we know nothing
Now that our bright and shining star can slip away from our fingertips like a puff
of summer wind

Without notice, our dear love can escape our doting embrace
Sing our songs among the stars and and walk our dances across the face of the
moon
In the instant we learn that Michael is gone we know nothing
No clocks can tell our time and no oceans can rush our tides
With the abrupt absence of our treasure

Though we our many, each of us is achingly alone
Piercingly alone
Only when we confess our confusion can we remember that he was a gift to us and we did have him

He came to us from the Creator, trailing creativity in abundance
Despite the anguish of life he was sheathed in mother love and family love and survived and did more
than that
He thrived with passion and compassion, humor and style
We had him
Whether we knew who he was or did not know, he was ours and we were his
We had him
Beautiful, delighting our eyes
He raked his hat slant over his brow and took a pose on his toes for all of us and we laughed and
stomped our feet for him

We were enchanted with his passion because he held nothing
He gave us all he had been given

Today in Tokyo, beneath the Eiffel Tower, in Ghana's Blackstar Square, in Jo-
hannesburg, in Pittsburgh, in Birmingham, Alabama and Birmingham England,
we are missing Michael Jackson

But we do know that we had him
And we are the world.

STUCK IN THE MIDDLE AND THE PAIN IS THUNDER!
How do we keep fighting these injustices?
Whats the alternative?
I have repeatedly stated my support for Michael Jackson
through all the allegations and the attempts to vilify this great
legend, and I will undoubtedly continue to do so even now
that he has passed. Every time they knocked him down,
Michael got back up. He stood up and told us all to take a
look at the man in the mirror and to heal the world. He told
us to remember the time, and now we remember the pletho-
ra of good times he gave us: the sold-out international con-
certs, the largest album sales in history, the impeccable
dance moves, and more important, his generous, humanitar-
ian side. Donating hundreds of millions to charity, creating
his own non-profit organizations, and genuinely caring about
the state of humanity. Michael will and must be revered for
his distinguished and rare char-
acter. A young man from Gary,
Indiana, Michael continually paid
homage to his humble begin-
nings and to his black brothers
and sisters. In his sheer exist-
ence, he forced White America
to confront some of its inherent
biases and made it possible for
many of todays artists, athletes
and even the President himself
to exist. Before Tiger Woods,
there was Michael Jackson, and
before Barack Obama there was
Michael Jackson. This man made it OK-and cool-for kids in
Japan and kids in Kansas to moonwalk. A transcendent
individual who crossed every single racial, social and gener-
ational line. MJ was much more than the King of Pop: HE
WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE A TRUE GROUNDBREAKER
AND PHILANTROPIST. I pray history will finally serve him
due justice. Reverend Al Sharpton 2009

to me about intentasking the
questi on, Is the i ntent

in writing articles to PAY MI-
CHAEL FORWARD, I have
been helped and educated by
so many. Of course, my MAS-

much from YOU. I have also
been cautioned about my views
on the media and gently warned
that it wasnt healthy for me to
ever expect a change. Mi-
chael himself said things would
never change no matter what
he said or did. Heres where I get into troubleintellectually,
I really do get it. And, I often find myself giving a pep-talk to
my heart, trying to toughen up, trying to quell the anger and
disappointment. In battle between mind and heart, the strug-
gle isnt a fair fightMY HEART ALWAYS WINS. Emotion
rules in this body of mine no matter how much I work to do
the opposite. The advantage to this struggle is that my goal
is simply to NEVER STOP TRYING. I am determined to get
the truth outI am determined to speak out for justiceI am
determined to assist the NEW MEDIA. WE ARE THE NEW
MEDIA. I am convinced ofthat. Impatience to broadcast the
truth across every inch of this planet causes some measure
of desperation. Seeing todays Huffington Post article about
XSCAPE raised the temperature in my body and the hairs on
the back of my neck. Here is where Lyndas question ap-
pears front and center.

Now I know, we will not all
agree on the release of

true. I respect the debate when
it is DONE with respect. What
stirs my emotions is IN-
TENT. All it takes for me is
false intent and I feel the need
to speak out. In an article discussing artistry, an article that
on the outside appears to be positive and done with a meas-
ure of care for Michaels LegacyI do not accept the men-
tion of allegations. I see a false intent, to appear to want
to protect Michaels legacybut, the very mention of that
topic in a discussion of an impended album release reinforc-
es the brainwashing done by the myth-making media once
again. I see it as deliberate. I see it as intentionalmaking
sure to reinforce lies that the public often accepts as truth.

When A Leaf Falls In Summer
June 24, 2010 at 5:30pm
They say leaves dont fall in summer and yet this
little leaf makes its way from the upper branch-
es, twists, swirls and lands at my feet. I dont
know why I dwell on it so much, but I stop, I pick
it up and my thoughts rush to a place I well
know. I can almost hear him, I love love the
planet. I love trees I have this thing for trees
and the color and changing of leavesI LOVE
it! I respect those kind of things. I really feel that
nature is trying to compensate for mans mis-
management of the planet. Michael would say
this last year and I realize his heart had not
changed one bit since the first time I heard him
Heal the World; it remained in the same place
of caring, hoping, soothing, dreaming.
I now fully understand what Michael means
about that place in your heart, called Love. He
had discovered it long before and thought he
could spin this web of discovery on us too - like
all great visionaries do, when we have the
chance to have them passing our way. Some-
times were too young or too busy to
acknowledge them. But sometimes we recog-
nize them. I saw Michael, then I lost the sight of
him for a while, swirling and twirling like the little
leaf. Round the corner I had left behind, there
lay my childhood. Hearing Heal the World this
morning and forcing myself not to change the
program in an urge to avoid tears, I had yet an-
other realization. The song has the same sound
as in my early days. It was unbelievable how it
made me want to pull my dads sleeve to go
wait for Michael Jackson at the airport or get
near the stage or talk to my friend about how
were were supposed to meet MJ It felt as real
and as unreal as that, a taste of ever present
which you know it cannot be. So my eyes stung
and I thought, how could he have this gift to pour
his heart into his music like that, in a way that he
gives timelessness and togetherness a place I
could recognize? I shuddered.
And its been a year. Some will maybe draw
back and say, really, one year? A few will just
say a year has never gone by so swiftly since all
eternity.
When I saw this, "God breaks the heart again
and again until it stays open", I stopped. It made
sense to me, thinking of Michaels tribulations.
Above his genius and talents, above all back-
breaking work. there lay his human nature.
The humble, truthful kind, the kind you learn
from when you open the door. Thats what Mi-
chael did by sharing his life and I want to thank
him for that aura he managed to spread around,
such a rare thing these days... A wounded mes-
senger he was indeed, like someone said, car-
rying Gods gifts the best way he could. Teach-
ing humbleness, for he took every misjudgment
with class and every kick of dirt with serenity
And all this for trying to make this world a better
place. And youd wonder, how does he do it?.. I
got a rhinoceros skin, Michael would say, find-
ing peace within himself, where no naysayer
could invade, but where some of us could peek.

His trustful
lawyer, Tom
Mesereau,
says (thanks
Micheline for
sharing his
letter): As
you all know,
Michael Jack-
son was a
towering geni-
us, unique art-
ist and loving individual. He had a sensitive,
quiet soul that lived to create. He also did his
best to propagate a unique message of love
and kindness.
Unfortunately, the world he populated is one
characterized by enormous greed, violence
and cruelty. In his life, the curse of jealousy
and avarice seemed to constantly circle
around him. His constant battle with these
ugly forces took its toll.
Nevertheless, Michael emerged victorious.
The most savage attacks in the media, the
courtroom and in his personal life were not
able to erase the deep, loving essence of his
character, spirit and ambitions. He left the
world a better place.
I believe this is the essence I meant to sur-
face at this incoherent late hour. MJ did make
this world a better place. More importantly, he
created a network of people who will try to do
the same. And oh what a wonderful parent he
was... He would say to Prince, for his 2nd
birthday: "Prince, I wish for you to learn about
perseverance, confidence and the true mean-
ing of success, which is Love." How endear-
ing that is... I know in my heart that the chil-
dren will keep their daddy close and never
give up on what he taught them. I just know
it.
So, after a year of shuddered trains of
thoughts, I find myself writing at midnight
again, wishing the little falling leaf carry this
to its Creator and pray Michael will be al-
lowed to see the Love accumulated for him
here... How I miss you and how I love you,
Michael Joseph Jackson. I always wanted to
tell you: I love the way you say anything, its
unlike anyone I ever heard in my life! ha. En-
dearing and sweet. And the way your giggles
puff in the mic when you least expect it.. And
when you laugh. seems to create a place
of warmth on its own. Yeah.. I wish I could tell
you all this and that you could hear it. Instead
I can only hope you wrapped in the bliss you
once carried here with you and now followed
you back. A part stays here with us and the
rest is yours from God, you need it more.
We love you most, dear heart! But I just hope
you never know how it is to miss you. Rest
peacefully now, Michael, for the mission God
gave you was completed from the first heart
who twinkled in your presence. That heart,
together with other millions, will bring Love
back in the world, just like you wanted.
I love you more.

CHILDREN PROJECTS
Michaels Dream Box, Indiana Gary was such a success last
year we are aiming to place more smiles on the faces of chil-
dren again.
Michaels Dream Foundation is very pleased to announce
that the new and improved version of Michaels Dream Box
will soon be going to the UK delivered to our new partner,
Martha Care!

Martha Care is a small, registered charity based in the Bristol
area of the UK. It was set up by a group of parents to help
other parents and families staying in hospital with a very sick
child. They dont actually care for the children themselves,
but instead support all families who are likely to stay in hospi-
tal for a few days or longer, by giving them whatever they
need to cope. This includes emotional support, access
to available services, help finding accommodations, helping
them to keep their employment whilst looking after their sick
child and ultimately helping them to stay emotionally and
physically healthy!

The new and improved version of Michaels Dream Box is
designed to have bigger, better and MORE toys than ever for
sick children. We wanted to help to keep a sick childs mind
occupied during their stay in hospital, so that they arent
thinking as much about their hospital surroundings and why
they are there. Being in hospital can be a very scary
and traumatic time for a young child so we want to try taking
their minds off that as much as possible. The new version of
Michaels Dream Box will help them to do that.

Some people dont get the opportunity to be with Michael on

landed the role of Earth Girl, but her enthusiasm and easy-going
disposition make it easy to see why Michael would choose her.
The future of Irish dance is here and her name is Kate
McCafferty.
Kates Michael Jackson routine, caught on film when she
performed it two years ago at the Foyleside Shopping Cen-
ter in Derry, Northern Ireland, is hugely inventive and shows
how Irish dance can mingle with other genres of dance and
music to create something totally unique.
There are countless videos of Michael Jackson impersonators on
the web but our favorite is that of 12-year-old Kaan Baybag,
whose dance to Dangerous on the TV show Yetenek Sizsiniz
Trkiye, Turkeys version of Americas Got Talent, is a must-see.
Initially, Baybag stutters and is a bagful of nerves in front of the
three judges, but once the music starts, he turns into a confident
performer.

How Many Judass Were Seated At Michael Jacksons Table?
Before writing this
article I went to
look at the old
magazines and
newspapers of the
period 1986-1993
where MJ was
photographed
around the world
attending show similar to X Factor, with kids
dancing like him & dressed up like him. At the
end of all of the circus, few kids would have
been choosen and admitted to another world:
the showbiz and MJ world.
Thanks to MJ , delighted parents saw their
annual budget rise up dramatically while
signing contracts with Pepsi, Nike and all the
available possible sponsors to finally let their
child be trained to tour the world with the MJ
Circus.
I think many of us
underestimate
how desperate
people can be.
The entertain-
ment industry is
rife with beggars
and hangers on.
People who at-
tach themselves to a celebrity, leech off them for
money, power, fame and opportunity. Whatever
Robson's motivations are for doing what hes
doing, he clearly has some kind of agenda.
Wade Robson has made a living off Michael
Jackson his whole life doing just this. If Robson
isn't getting work anymore and he is
accustomed to a certain lifestyle he could very
well have some kind of
misguided sense of
entitlement. Michael's
generosity to the
Robsons has been well
documented.
Unfortunately, Michael
allowed A LOT of these
kind of people into his
life. These people were
never really friends, but
just out for what they
could get by association.
And now we have Jimmy Safechuck jumping on
board claiming the same criminal action? Come
on...during the opening of the release of
Xscape? Got to love
that timing! It sounds
like a broken
record! ...and this is
no accident.

Many people
including the MEDIA
tend to not believe
Robson, but Jimmy? A
successful web designer, husband and father?
Website for Safechucks Portfolio
But being married, having children, and having a
so-called successful career does and will not
stop people from filing false charges and
breaking the law. Have you ever heard of white
collar crimes? And by the way, isn't web
designing considered to be no longer very
lucrative and even on its way out?

It's unbelievable to me that the
attorneys for these two ex-kids
are saying MJ was responsible
for keeping Jimmy Safechuck out
of school? How was Michael
responsible for keeping him out
of school? What did he do - hold
a gun to his head and force him?
What about his damn parents?
They take no responsibility for
keeping him out of school??
They have the main responsibility to me. Im a parent and I know
that schools agree to these kind of permits only if parents
officially require it! No way MJ could go to his school and take
him out! The kid was not going to school because his
parents signed a nice and lucrative contract with MJ
sponsors...... of which they were nicely paid!
Therefore the childs school attendance would be the
responsibility of his parents and not that of Michael Jackson.
Robson said on Television he
was fully aware that Jackson
was a pedophile, at the time of
his trial in 2005, but decided to
lie under oath, because he had
not really realized at that time
that what had happened was
wrong. Robson was 22 years old
at the time. One might assume
that perhaps he regretted later
his decision, at least to prevent
further "victims."
NO. It did not happen: he
prepared a barbecue meal with his family and MJ in 2008,
praising him with no pressure or cue in 2009, 2010, 2011, and
2012. This liar who claimed that he didn't know that he had been
"abused" invited his supposedly "abuser" to HIS house, basically
MONTHS before Michael was murdered. What "victim" does
that? See.. this kind of thing the tabloids did not publish as
evident for an example.
Nobody knows what's in the documents except for the courts,
and none of MJ's other accusers has ever alleged real sex, so I
highly doubt that Robson and Safechuck will claim this. They
must have proof to back it up or else its just hearsay.
Besides the fact that Robson testified on behalf of Michael during
his trial and said under oath that Michael did nothing
inappropriate...these two accusations don't stand a chance of
going anywhere. Its way beyond the allowable timeframe to
even attempt this, and they should know it very well!
http:www.albertsondavidsonpost.com/2012/04/30/the-deadly-
deadline-for-suing-decedents-californias-toughest-statute-of-
limitations-in-trust-probate-estate-and-civil-cases/
Safechuck even denied abuse? If I'm not mistaken he gave a
deposition to the Grand Jury in 1993 and also during the Arvizo
trial discovery phase, and denied anything inappropriate
occurred.
It goes without saying that accusations of abuse must always be
taken seriously. When an individual has told one story very
credibly and convincingly as an adult, however, and then
suddenly changes it with no corroborating evidence (letters,
photos, phone conversations, witnesses, etc.) to file a creditors
claim, it deserves a healthy dose of skepticism. Believing such
claims on faith can be dangerous, it mean destroying lives and
reputations with absolutely no proof beyond the accusation. The
best evidence would've been a doctor's thorough examination of
the children during the time of the so-called molestation.
Evidence of signs which could have been attributed to a
molestation of that type. But that never happened did it? My
guess would be because the so-called events never occurred
and they're making it up.

Child molestation is a seri-
ous charge. You don't just
take a settlement and for-
get about it. There is no
way out of this. If the so-
called accused could not
be prosecuted surely
someone else would have
been in their place such
as Mr. Evan Chandler or
his ex wife for allowing
this to happen and to go
on. But it never hap-
pened.
Its a LIE that the "markings" that Jordan Chandler
did draw matched.
Michael said that they did not match.
Even Lisa Marie Presley said that they did not
match.
The lawyers said that they did not match. Even the
MEDIA said that they did not match.
Of course, this story did not have big headlines in
the newspaper and Michael even mentioned his dis-
gust at the fact that the media buried this important
fact. Court documents do not confirm that this claim
matched. If these photos had matched, then Sned-
don would have arrested Michael. He framed him in
the Arvizo case and he would have definitely taken
this opportunity to frame him again. Bottom line, the
photos did not match. This is a LIE that goes on be-
tween trashy tabloids and MJ haters.
We also have Jackson's FBI file released under the
"Freedom of Information Act" (FOIA) request of me-
dia, that British journalist Charles Thomson com-
mented "A long report," writes Thomson, "shows that
when Jackson's Neverland Ranch was raided in
2003, the FBI examined every computer seized from
the property with" a fine-tooth comb "looking for
some files or activities of Internet accusatory. Jack-
son retained, files, individual summaries of the re-
sults of the FBI for each of the 16 computers.
Scrawled in capital letters on each of these 16 re-
ports: "NOTHING".
It just seems very surprising that an adult could be
as gullible and weak-minded to still believe these
kind of stories.
And to add more, I would like to quote the excerpt
from The Nation in the Mirror of Matt Taibbi, pub-
lished on Rolling Stone magazine . Iss. 977/978 of
June 30-July 14, 2005
Describing the court case against Jackson in 2005 in
this way
Ostensibly a story about bringing a child molester to
justice, the Michael Jackson trial would instead be a
kind of homecoming parade of insipid American
types grifters, suckers and no-talent schemers,
mired in either outright unemployment or the bo-
gus non-careers of the information age, looking to
cash in any way they can. The MC of the proceed-
ings was District Attorney Tom Sneddon, whose
metaphorical role in this American reality show was
to represent the mean gray heart of the Nixonian
Silent Majority the bitter mediocrity itching to stick it
to anyone whod ever taken a vacation to Paris. The
first month or so of the trial featured perhaps the
most compromised collection of prosecution witness-
es ever assembled in an American criminal case
almost to a man a group of convicted liars, paid gos-
sip hawkers or worse. The early witnesses against
Jackson included a bodyguard who missed court
because he was in custody facing charges stemming
from a series of armed robberies, including holding
up a Jack in the Box at gunpoint; a former Neverland
maid whod stolen a sketch Jackson had made of
Elvis Presley and sold it to the tabloids for thirty
grand; another former employee whod lost a wrong-
ful-termination suit against Jackson and had to pay
part of a $1.4 million settlement as a result.

And then there was the very key figure in the case, the accusers mother,
who had to plead the Fifth Amendment on the first day of her testimony
to avoid cross-examination on a welfare-fraud allegation a witness so
completely full of sht that Sneddons own assistants cringed openly
throughout most of her five days of testimony. In the next six weeks,
virtually every piece of his case imploded in open court, and the chief
drama of the trial quickly turned into a race to see if the DA could man-
age to put all of his witnesses on the stand without getting any of them
removed from the courthouse in manacles.
Sneddons hard-on for Jackson was a faith-based vengeance grab every
bit as blind and desperate as George Bushs case against Saddam
Hussein. If Ahmad Chalabi had ever been to Neverland, Sneddon would
have put him on the stand too.
His case was bullsht. California vs. Jackson turned out to be basically
a tale of a family of low-rent grifters
trying to lay a criminal-molestation
charge on a rich celebrity as a prelude
to a civil suit.
MJ was NOT a pedophile, his
behavior is not typical of pedophiles
and any criminologist and forensic
psychiatrist will tell you the same
thing. However I understand why
some people doubt his innocence,
many think he was weird, an
eccentric..and it seem that still society
has a sort of problem with it.
Jackson wrote few lines for a new song, entitled "An Innocent Man", who
speak volumes of which kind of sufference these people put him through
and still it seems his soul is not allowed to REST IN PEACE..
"If I sail to Acapulco and Cancun Mexico
there the law is waiting for me and God knows that I'm innocent

If they wont take me in Cairo
then Lord where will
I go

Ill die a man without a Country
and only God knew I was innocent now"

LIFES PARALLEL
THE FINAL REHEARSAL THIS WAS IT

On April 9, of 09', This was it for my beloved
husband Ray as God took him home and on
June 25 of 09' was Michael's last rehearsal
as God also took him home. Friends and
family mourned the death of my Ray but the
world mourned for Michael.. Michael Ray and
Michael Joseph, 2 months apart and puddles
of tears that were shed, turned into oceans
and broken hearts exploded like pieces of
stars that filled the heavens. One loss is pri-
vate and one is not.. I will never get over my loss but will get thru it as the world has gotten thru
the loss of Michael. My memories of my loss will forever be hidden in the depths of my soul as
Michael's death will be that way only with his family and friends but never private to the world
as Michael was bigger than life itself. We, the world, can always share, buy, watch and see what
Michael left to this world as he danced his way into our hearts and touched us all with his magical
voice.

The late King of Pop's 1983 smash returns thanks to a viral video. Plus, 'Slave to the
Rhythm' debuts, marking Jackson's milestone 50th Hot 100 hit
A week after becoming the first artist to reach the Bill-
board Hot 100's top 10 infive different decades (and six in-
cluding his work with the Jackson 5), as "Love Never Felt So
Good," with Justin Timberlake zoomed 22-9, Michael Jackson
makes news again, as his 1983 No. 1 "Billie Jean" returns.
The song re-enters at No. 14 thanks to the popularity of a viral
video featuring the track.

Meanwhile, Jackson scores his milestone 50th Hot 100 hit, as
"Slave to the Rhythm," from his new album "Xscape," debuts
at No. 45.
"Billie Jean" revisits the Hot 100 with 95 percent of its chart
points from streaming. It debuts on the Streaming
Songs chart at No. 2 thanks to the stylings of Brett Nichols, a
junior at Pitman High School in Turlock, Calif. Nichols per-
formed Jackson's iconic dance sequence from 1983's
"Motown 25" TV special for his school's talent show, with the
clip featuring the song's original audio. The video went viral
and Jackson's classic bows on Streaming Songs with 11.2
million U.S. streams in the week ending May 25 (a 320 per-
cent surge), according to Nielsen BDS. It debuts with 95 per-
cent of its streams from YouTube (non-Vevo) activity.

"Billie Jean," from "Thriller," the best-selling studio album of all
time (it's been certified 29 times Platinum by to the RIAA),
spent seven weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 in a 24-week run
in 1983. It and 1991's "Black or White" mark the longest
reigns of Jackson's 13 Hot 100 No. 1s, the most leaders
among solo males.

On Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, "Billie Jean" re-enters at No. 6.
It spent nine weeks at No. 1 in 1983, passing "Rock With
You" (six weeks, 1980) for his longest command on the genre
tally.

NIFTY FIFTY

Jackson also earns his landmark 50th Hot 100 entry, as
"Slave to the Rhythm" begins at No. 45. With 75 of its chart
points from streaming, the song enters Streaming Songs at
No. 11 (3.9 million, up 345 percent). Fifty-six percent of its
streaming activity is owed to the official Vevo video of the
much buzzed-about virtual Jackson performing the song at
the Billboard Music Awards on May 18.

The late King of Pop becomes the 30th artist to collect at least
50 Hot 100 hits and the 20th solo male to earn the honor
(tying Eminem's sum). Lil Wayne leads all male soloists with
121 entries, followed by Elvis Presley (108), James Brown
(91), Jay Z (82) and Ray Charles (74). Among all acts, Lil
Wayne trails only the cast of Fox's "Glee," which has made
207 Hot 100 visits.

On Hot R&B/Hop-Hop Songs, "Slave" soars 38-12. Jackson
also debuts at No. 50 with "Chicago."

"Love Never Felt So Good" (which drops 9-16 on the Hot 100
dated June 7), "Slave" and "Chicago" are from Jackson's
posthumous album "Xscape," whichdebuted at No. 2 on the
Billboard 200 dated May 31. It ranks at No. 3 this week with
67,000 copies sold (down 57 percent) in the U.S. in the week
ending May 25, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Its two-
week sales total stands at 224,000.

WRGO SPECIAL INTEREST ARTICLES
Revealed: Sony had Michael Jackson s Love Never Felt So
Good remixed in 2010 it was meant for Michael album
When XScape launched LA Reid said that finding the demo of
Love Never Felt So Good and this sparking his interest in do-
ing the entire project.
This, we can exclusively reveal is a lie: Sony and The Estate
knew about the demo four years ago: it was supposed to be on
the ill-fated Michael album, instead of the Cascio tracks. The
track was given to Giorgio Tuinfort in 2010 and the version
heard on XScape is the result. According to the creators it is a
completely Dutch production.
Here is the story behind it:
Composer Franck van der Heijden (Akon, Al Jarreau): Of
course we didnt work with Michael in the studio, that is a misunderstanding wed have been
thirteen or younger when he wrote it. The Power Sound Studio didnt even exist back then!!
Giorgio Tuinfort and I received this demo in 2010 and were given carte blanche to do what we
liked with it. Guido had worked with Michael before and was in touch with his family about
Love Never Felt So Good. The song was so good, we did not have to do much, except seeing
how we could work a bridge into it. I composed the instrumental backing track in an afternoon
with Giorgio, what you are hearing is a completely Dutch production, except for MJs vocals
When we finished the song disappeared for four years, we never heard anything about it, until
last month. Giorgio called out of the blue, saying our song was out. I think Im credited. I only
read that it would be the lead single on Facebook. I see this as honoring Michael. I loved the
sound of LNFSG, it sounds like my childhood. I believe this could be a Thriller outtake. Imag-
ine Michael might have doubted between this or Billie Jean!! We tried to keep that Quincy
Jones vibe as producers, to keep that 80s feel. Im amazed that The Estate kept our 2010 ver-
sion, its four years old. They did change the version with Justin Timberlake, sampling other
Michael Jackson tracks. I think that one is unnecessary, we were given this crisp clear demo in
Michaels amazing vocals, in great stereo quality why would you ruin that?

My name is Nicole and I am a 17 year old singer/songwriter and lead vocalist in a musical duo between my 12 year
old brother Scotty and me. Our band name is, "Nicole & Scotty: Un-
chartered Waters".
Scotty is truly a young musical prodigy and plays a total
of six instruments which include electric guitar, acoustic
guitar, dobro guitar, pedal steel guitar, mandolin and
piano/keyboard. He writes and composes music for a
total of eight instruments, adding bass guitar and drums.
Together we create original compositions; I flow in the melodies
and lyrics. We also cover a wide variety of music and artists of all
genres, but our favorites are Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Pres-
ley, who are our biggest inspirations and our most covered artists.
Our own personal genre and what we are most comfortable in cur-
rently is something between Americana and Folk Rock mu-
sic, but we sometimes venture beyond and try out classic or
even soft rock sounds. Scotty and I have
been working dedicatedly and lovingly for
month on our upcoming debut E.P., "Nicole
& Scotty: Unchartered Waters". It can be
purchased on the Web site. Scotty and I en-
joy the whole process of bringing our CD
with our music immensely, we wrote for it and produced it
ourselves. It's like this great big for us, the
journey we have always wanted to take and we love it.
We love creating music above all else. It's our very meaning in life, our true purpose and reason. When we
write together, everything is at peace, everything flows, there is
love radiating, powerful.
We are very close friends as siblings, but in those mo-
ments when we "step into the flow" as Michael would say,
we are closer than ever, our love for each other the
strongest. It's truly an incredible God sent gift. Scotty
been playing guitar for only two and a half years, but has ex-
celled to the point of surpassing college level in music theory and
plays over 500 songs by memory. He first took interest in arts and
music when he was 10 when our mom enrolled him in group guitar
lessons in our home school program. He advanced so quickly
through the class that the instructor moved him from the beginners to the most advanced in less than six month.

When Scotty had mastered everything that class
could teach him, my mom was asked to enroll him
in private lessons to continue learning at his ad-
vanced pace. He is otherwise self-taught in music,
learning to play piano professionally in very little
time, mandolin and other forms of guitar in a matter
of weeks. He is a musician by heart and nature
and is very grateful for his unique talent. I used to
sing in talent shows for fun when I was very little but
my passion was for writing and before I discovered
that I had an ability to sing, I wanted to become an
author or an attorney, I have a natural love for
words. My little brother and I both discovered our
musical flow between each other when he asked
me to help him out at an mic last year. We
both received compliments on our performance
together from many in the audience, and we both
kind of thought, "Hey, let's do this together! Lets
get our music out there and make a good change in
this World and so we set to it.
A week after we established a YouTube account, I
was contacted by a lovely fan of Lisa Marie Presley's
that she had sent a video of us covering one of
Lisa's songs, "Just a Dream", to her Face Book
account and that Lisa had watched and liked our
video. I was astonished and extremely excited with
Scotty! Then a huge change in our lives occurred.
We had bought tickets to see a concert of Lisa's at
the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles last year and
waited hours to get up front as Scotty wanted to be
up close to watch Lisa's husband Michael Lock-
wood (his favorite guitarist) play. During Lisa's first
number, she recognized us, pointed to us and
waved which made us nearly hysterical with joy!
Then, through her set, Lisa asked us if
we were the kids from Facebook and when we an-
swered yes, she began to excitedly tell the audience
about our videos then said to us, "Hey! Would you
guys like to come up here and perform a song? We
were utterly speechless, and before we knew it oth-
er audience members were helping to lift us over the
gate at the front and onto the stage.
I remember flying to hug Lisa and tell her how much
I love her, and my little brother was on cloud 9 with
me, especially when Michael Lockwood handed him
his beautiful Gretsch guitar to play. We performed
Lisa's song, "I'll Figure It Out" which is an all-time
favorite of ours, and I have never been so happy in
my entire life! The feeling of being on stage in front
of a 1000 people with my idol... exhilarating and out
of this world! After that concert Lisa invited us to join
her on stage again at the Coach House in San
Juan Capistrano. Completely honored, we did! Lisa
and her husband were incredibly generous to us
and presented us with gifts; Lisa's microphone to
me, and a beautiful Gretsch guitar for Scotty. Tear-
fully, we performed a song and guitar played duet
with our inspirations of Lisa's song, "Storm &
Grace". We couldn't thank them nearly enough.

To spend time with our inspirations had been bless-
ing and gift enough. We both love them dearly and
are so thankful to them. Scotty and I now have a
strong and loving support group and it warms our
hearts to talk with them and hear their suggestions
or advice on twitter or Facebook. We love and ap-
preciate them with all our hearts. Today, Scotty and I
have been spending a great amount of time at
work on our debut E.P. and its release. We enjoy it
to the fullest! We have worked with such an incredi-
ble team. We are ecstatic about the release of the
E.P. which includes our three original songs,
"Barefoot Traveler", "The Rise of the Storm", and
"Stricken". "Barefoot Traveler", was written by us
about journeys, setting your feet on the path you
were meant to walk and leading the life you were
born to live.
I wrote with our personal journey greatly in mind.
"The Rise Of The Storm" is my proudest accom-
plishment in a song. I worked a great deal of effort
and love into it and I hope it inspires, thrills, and
encourages children and all people to strike up, give
themselves the will to persevere and succeed all for
the love of God. It's our version of a beachy type bal-
lad about children who are told to give up their
dreams, striking up and rising above criticism and
strife to be/realize who they really are; their own
beautiful selves. It's our most treasured number. In
our song, "Stricken", I paid tribute to a beloved
friend of mine, in which we map out her life and her
rise above difficulties and pain to become the
beautiful artist she was meant to be, helping people
through her own healing and profound music. Some-
time in the near future we also plan to release a full
length album, so please be on the lookout for that
too! For information on Scotty and I and to purchase
our music, please visit our WEBSITE. You can also
find us on Facebook: Nicole & Scotty: Unchartered
Waters, twitter: @TheMusicinMe777 and on
YouTube: TheMusicInMe777. We currently have a
group of 3 in our live band, including myself, Scotty,
and our wonderfully talented and sweet 13 year old
friend and drummer, Paloma.
When Scotty and I are not singing and playing mu-
sic, you can find us running amuck with our animals,
laughing with our friends or riding waves at our fa-
vorite beach. We are both home schooled and we
love it. My favorite subject is language arts and
Scotty's are music, art, and math. When I am able to
create a charity I will form organizations to prevent
bullying and educate people on the benefits of home
schooling.
We also have been greatly influenced by Michael
Jackson. We grew up with his music and he has
been a very important part of both our lives. We
have even had the honor of singing and playing at a
few candle lit vigils held in his honor. We love Mi-
chael with all our hearts and I feel that his healing
soul was and is so needed here on Earth. Michael
is the ultimate musical prophet and humanitarian
and his love for children was utterly inspiring, pure,
and heartfelt. There was not a bad bone in his
body. Some of our favorites by him are "Heal The
World", "Speechless", and "Earth Song".
We would like to thank Mary with all our hearts for
inviting us to be in your magazine! God bless you
and L.O.V.E.!

I have been waiting for this day to arrive for a few years. My only nephew Mr. Sterling Alexander Williams, graduates with
a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. You have made Auntie so proud.

This was my first experience attending a graduation at a historical Black College and trust me this event was not on CPT.
The graduates had to be at the graduation at 6:00AM. The Graduation began promptly at 8:00A.M. Why so early? Do to
the extreme southern heat at past ceremonies; it was decided to have it early to avoid heat exhaustion.

I truly appreciated words of wisdom and truth spoken by college officials. Commencement comes with responsibility to do
something that matters to others. Your degree comes with no guarantee but possibilities and opportunities. Pas-
sion, shared commitment, and learning from others is the key to success.

Chicago native vocalist Darryl Pandy was at forefront of the house music movement when the sound crossed over the
Chicago city borders to the UK and European audience in 1986. Farley "Jackmaster" Funk,Jesse Saunders, Duane

ANIBA HOTEP & THE SOL COLLECTIVE
Aniba Hotep (translated as Messenger of Peace) is a rare vocalist whose sound has been described as "thunderous hon-
ey", jazz and R&B to the taste, gospel and folk going down. A southern girl with the musical ancestry of would-be blues
men and country preachers, Aniba has an uncanny ability to not only excel at many genres, but serve as a griot through
her conversational method of songwriting. Together with the inspired sounds of the Sol Collective, Ms. Hotep is geared for
her life's mission; to interpret and tell the story of a people as only she can.

The Sol Collective:
The Sol Collective is a gifted crew of artists comprised of many things, but namely, 1) talent, 2) an unshakable love for
music, and 3) divine intervention. The Sol Collective is a gifted band comprised of everything that makes soul music beau-
tiful. Aniba Hotep (lead vocals) is an accomplished vocalist/songwriter whose southern gospel roots provide the quiet yet
thunderous backdrop to the stark musical images of Nathional Warren (keys), William Baggett (bass), Aum Mu Ra El
(lead/rhythm guitar), Isaiah Sharkey (lead/rhythm guitar), Harry Hunt Jr. (violin/acoustic guitar) and the soulful harmonies
of Neri Ma'at and Caress Sahura (vocals).

Hermene, shared an amazing story with us. She began her
career working at Operation Bread Basket back in the late
60s and 70s.The organization was preparing for their Black
Expo show. The expo had made a deal with Berry Gordy to
showcase all of Motowns artists at the expo, but the stipula-
tion was the Jackson5 had to perform in the show. Well Jes-
se Jackson, Executive Director of OPBB, was just not having
these kids to perform in an adult show.

Hermene in her brilliance presented the idea of a Saturday
afternoon matinee show for the children. Little did these
adults know that prior to being signed with Motown the Jack-
son5 had built a strong fan based in the Chicago, Illinois and
Indiana Midwest market. Hermene had the room bursting in
laughter. In her words she described, Nine year old girls
had torn down the door of the International Amphitheater
and a hundred thousand kids showed up. Jesse said
these animals where did they come from.how did little
girls tear up the place like this? They broke the doors
and Operation Push had to replace the doors. Hermene
had us on the edge of our seats. She looked over at Alan
King and said were you the lawyer that was involved in us
having to replace the doors? Allen replied, No I was one of
the kids at that show. We all laughed.

Hermene goes deeper into the story, I said how are we
going to get these boys through to perform, so we got an
ambulance and put the Jackson5 in the ambulance and
slowly brought it up to the theater. The boys loved it.
We turned on the siren for them and thats how we got
them in and out of the show, and the rest is history.

CHILDRENS DAY
JUNE 6
VALENCIA MOTHER DIVA DANTZLER

It is very important that we as people who care
about our future generation take the initiative and
celebrate our children. I have taken it upon myself
to declare June 6 forever National and International
Childrens Day and I do not need approvals from
politicians and authorities.

June 6 is a very important day, if you do some re-
search you will learn that this is the true birth date
of our precious messiah Yahshua aka Jesus Christ.
It is also the day of Pentecost when the holy spirit
was poured out on all of us over 2000 years ago.
The messiah said, be as humble as a child so I
felt this day was appropriate.

There is a National Childs Day Celebrated every
November and several countries have their own
Childs day. I have submitted this day to be cele-
brated by the Disney Company and they asked me
to keep them posted on the initiatives. Please enjoy

FAN FICTION
Joe Jackson as a teacherSUMMERTIME
A student is in the gym playing basketball and two bougies
and a basement apartment kid start to harass him. One of
the kids including a girl hits him and he fights them back. A
teachers aide intervenes and gets on the kid being bullied
instead of the bullies. The kid speaks his mind and when he
refuses to go in the corner he's pulled and placed by the wall
to the point where he starts to scream injustice.
He's taken to the class room where the teacher places him in
the office. Joe Jackson hears the commotion and decides to
speak to the kid and when he learns what happened, he de-
cides to confront the teacher's aide and asks her did she
confront the bullies. The teacher's aide gets defensive, espe-
cially when Joe tells her that her job was to be fair. She tells
him that he has no right to tell her how to do her job.
He responds with well if you were doing your job correctly
that student wouldn't have wasted time getting an education
sitting in the office, while you allowed a bunch of bad behind
kids to think it's alright to be a bunch of bullies who are going
to wind up in the slammer or in the grave. The main teacher
tries to intervene and he lets her know that she won't jump in
his face. A few hours later returning from lunch he, Joe Jack-
son, see the kids starting up again and is pleased to see the
kid is fighting back. Joe then screams LEAVE THAT BOY
ALONE!!!! He screams so loud that everybody in the yard
stops dead in their track. He then drags the bullies to the
teachers aide and tells her that they were starting trouble
and they need to get punished.
He take them to the principal's office himself and two of the
students tell him to kiss their a** and shut the f**k up. Joe
gives them a whipping and tells them to tell their parents why
they got their butts whipped. A few days later the boy's moth-
er visits the school and let the students know that they're not
to put their hands on her son. She also let the teacher and
teachers aide know that while she doesn't want her son to
get special treatment he has the right to be respected; and if
they put their hands on him he has every right to fight back.
The bullies parents come in and are shocked that their kids
were starting fights but have problems accepting it. The girls'
mother jumps in Joe's face and he shuts her down. I have
nine kids and raising two nephews; and if I don't allow my
kids and nephews to scream at me, my wife and sister in law,
what makes you think I'm going to allow you and your spoiled
kids to jump in my face. What you need to do is teach your
kids how to have respect for themselves and others.

Millions of people been given hope and have been
inspired by one man.
There are many fan clubs out there that love and
support Michael Jackson. I came to know a few of
them because of my non-profit work with my com-
pany Hands on The World Global.
At first I found it overwhelming that millions of peo-
ple from around the globe were obsessed with this
man Michael Jackson who had passed away. I
always admired his charity work and felt deeply
connected to the songs he wrote that were about
peace, love and bringing the world together as one.
But why and how are all of these people so motivat-
ed to keeping his name alive? His fans post his
photos each day on their Facebook pages and they
get upset about gossip that pertains to Michael in a
negative way.
It is a dedication that reminds me of those who
have found a religion in their life that comforts and
heals them perhaps, filling a void in their hearts and
souls.
In life, I believe that each one of us is born with a
light inside of us. I think that the more
we give to others out of pure love and
kindness without asking in return, that
light becomes brighter and it starts to shine onto
others.
I think the music of Michael Jackson was and still is
filled with light. Also, I think he was pure in his ac-
tions towards others. When the light shines from
the sun, the sun does not say to us, give me back
my light. Nor does it say, I have given you warmth
and light now what will you do for me?
Hearing stories from those who did know Michael it
seems to be correct that he was very much childlike
with that type of freedom to love and give freely.
He loved to laugh. He loved to be with children be-
cause they did not love him for his fame but for that
light he had inside of him.
I have discovered there are millions of people from
many different countries feeling the same way
about him, these mutual feeling of admiration must
be examined. How does someone make that much
of an impact on so many people in this world?
His songs play and you can feel his energy in the
room. His spirit is strong and it lives on.
When I hear his song We are the World and en-
courage children in my programs and projects to
learn this song, it raises my feelings of connecting
to others; and when I take that music into my heart,
it transforms me and takes me away into a world
that has no troubles. It is almost like praying. To
me, praying is going deep into thought and sending
love, thanks and hope to others with your thoughts.
That is what was so special about Michael Jackson.
His ability to transform us and make us feel that
everything will be alright.

I think many of his fans were and are people who
are extra sensitive. Maybe in their life time they
went through a hard time and now after knowing
and meeting some of his dearest fans, I can see
how they felt so connected to someone they may
have never known or met.

In todays world, many of us are connected by Facebook and some of
us have friends on Facebook that we count on to see their posts each
day; and hear their comforting words they send to us or post on their
own page. I think it is the same with the music of Michael. People
now feel the loss of that connection they had with him. But, his music
and the humanitarian work that he did when he was alive will keep
passing on that bright light energy that many of his loving and devoted
fans still feel each day.

When I first came into connecting within the Michael Jackson fan base
on projects in Africa and Haiti in his memory, I did ask myself how
can people be so dedicated to a man that has left this world?
But now I see and understand that the energy this man has left behind
is enough to last a lifetime and he will have devoted people who feel
so thankful to him for the comfort he somehow has brought to them. I
have learned things about Michael Jackson that I would have never
known before getting involved with his good works. I know that he
loved sunflowers and now I seem to see them everywhere I go. When
I travel they seem to appear in my hotel room or I find a random sun-
flower that happens to just appear out of nowhere.

I know for sure that Michael Jackson fans will relate to this and so
many of you out there who have been connected to him for many
years. I am a newbie in the MJ world and I am looking at this from an
outside perspective. I would never say I am a devoted fan. That would
take away from those who know each and every thing about Michael
and his music and his life. For me, I am solely connected to his love
and work as an advocate for the children who do not have a voice.
And on this level, I am totally connected to him.

I have come to see this love for him by many as a church of followers
who come together as one taking all of Michaels energy and weaving
it into acts of kindness and goodness.
My work presently is bringing water and plantings for food to children
in rural areas of the world. My organization also wishes to protect the
rights of children that are far removed from society. They are children
without a voice. They are being held as slaves or drinking from mud
holes. I know Michael is shining his light on my work. He also is look-
ing down upon all of you who are working
to keep his energy alive.

There are so many ways that you can help
keep that light shinning. We are seeking
partner sister schools and groups that
would like to adopt a project that will help children who are in need.
Simple acts of kindness performed by you in the spirit of MJs love can
change the world.

Jackson or a loved one go to www.howglobal.org or email Rachael

Retro Action, May 22, 1992: Michael Jackson Pays for the Funeral
of 9-Year-Old Victim of Gang Violence
In 1992, nine-year-old Ramon Sanchez was killed in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles when
an errant bullet from a drive-by shooting struck the boy while he was drinking a glass of milk.
As local papers noted the tragedy, including the financial strain it would place on the boy's struggling
parents, help came in from the least expected source the King of Pop.
According to District Attorney Mary Sutton, Jackson offered to pay for the full costs of the mortuary,
funeral, and headstone just hours after reading that the Sanchez family would not have enough to
pay for their son's funeral.
"This is the first time I've ever had anyone contact me totally unsolicited," said Sutton. "This man has
a special quality about him and I hope his actions inspire others to do the same."

ADLAW INITIATIVE
MICHAEL JACKSON - INSPIRATION FOR THIS INITIATIVE

It has been a difficult time since Michaels passing, but his spirit continues to dwell among us, and there is
strength in his presence. We have mourned, been angry, and felt confused. Now we have the opportunity to
make a difference; to stand up for change.

Since June 25, 2009, there have been many wonderful and loving tributes to Michael Jackson. There have also
been unkind, untrue, and hateful references to Michael. Protecting and preserving the truth is the reason for
this letter. We are disgusted and frustrated with the amount of rubbish that continues to be paraded as fact
about Michael Jackson. In looking for a way to stop the flow of distortion, we have learned that there is nothing
to stop the defamation of someone who has passed on.

Michael devoted his life to demonstrating love. He encouraged us to change the world. There is no better way
to honor Michael than to make positive changes wherever we can. One of the ways we can make an important
difference is to work for a law to be passed that makes it illegal to defame the dead. The focus of this effort is to
have such a law passed in California, because that is where Michael spent much of his life, and where his fami-
ly lives.

Although the viciousness toward Michael has eased, the residue of tarnish on his name and reputation re-
mains. It is time for us to Make That Change. The life and legacy of Michael Jackson should be celebrated with
respect in the United States, and around the world.

We are all familiar with the level of unfair media attention heaped upon Michael in the past. Journalists hid be-
hind freedom of speech in an attempt to destroy Michael Jackson for entertainment and profit. The freedom of
speech is a right that we all enjoy in the United States, and to lose any part of that freedom would be a traves-
ty. However, with freedom comes responsibility. Each of us has a duty to be honest, fair, and balanced in what
we say. Journalists, those from whom the masses get their information, should he held to an even higher
standard. It is ugly enough to attack someone while they are here, but to continue to promote old lies, innuen-
do, and hate once they can no longer speak for themselves is reprehensible.

We will no longer passively accept this disrespectful and cruel assassination of Michaels name. It is time to
come together and take action right now. Throughout his life, Michael relied on his faith in God to bring him
strength. We can also call on God for strength and direction in making this law a reality.

If you would like to see a law put in place that would prevent the media from feeding on the reputations of those
who have passed on, please sign this petition. There is strength in numbers, and many voices create a mighty
roar.

Famously, the story of The Jackson
Family is one of an American dream
come true. Yet, as we know, fame
came at a very high price for Michael;
horrendously high a price. Following
extreme taunting and haunting by
media over lies, Michael took his chil-
dren into exile. It only took a few liars
to instigate an atrocity of disrespect
towards him. His image and character
were unjustly defamed and misunder-
stood. A dark cloud looms over his
legacy til this day yet, an honorable legacy of him is gradually
emerging as you read this.

The Jackson Family relocated from a modest, two-bedroom
house in Gary Indiana, to a mansion in Los Angeles California,
August of 1969, Michael attended public school at Gardner
Street Elementary School, as a sixth grader in 1969-70, until
becoming home-schooled. He would rehearse with his broth-
ers in the evenings. Though he only went to this school briefly,
Michael never forgot it. Twenty years later, the very successful
Michael was invited back to the school for a ceremony in his
honor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-5hIfliFtU Michael

Sahar Jannati attended this same school from 1994 96 at
a time when Michael was praised and looked-up to. She
felt a sense of unity there. This was painfully contrasted by
ignorant attitudes of harsh pre-judgment to follow. In 2003,
as news of allegations over Michael inflamed, the admira-
tion for Michael by the school faltered and his name was
covered with plywood boards. This act of unjust discredit
really bothered Sahar. Citizens of the LA community and
across The US, in addition to many people all over the
world, were clouded by speculation and controversy due to
false accusations of Michael. It especially hurt and con-
fused her that her own school denied Michaels innocence,
following his total acquittal, of fourteen charges, by The
Grand Jury of the County of Santa Barbara, State of Cali-
fornia. The boards stayed up.

When Michael passed, the boards disturbed her even
more. After he passed, I couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't
believe that they didn't rip off the plywood, she said. Ra-
ther than stay angry and sad about Michael, Sahars
unshakable love for him, drove her to actually do some-
thing. Within a few months, she attempted to contact some-
one at the school and e-mailed the Los Angeles Unified
School District; to no avail. Sahar didnt give up and posted
about Michaels covered-up name on Twitter.

As she reached out for support, she knew not how she was
going to go about getting the boards down. Keep in mind
that Sahar was up against the city of LA, the same city that
dedicated a plaque on a federal building, with the name of
Thomas Sneddon; the corrupt LAPD officer that went so far
as to fabricate evidence in order to ruthlessly attempt to
have Michael convicted of crimes that he didnt commit.
Sahar simply had hope and her hope grew into faith.

Faith is taking the first step even

ther King, Jr..

Sahars initial step attracted the attention of Blessy Liquido
and Nathalie Buzaglo. Blessy immediately set out to find
out more about this. As she researched, more people ex-
pressed interest so, Blessy wrote-up a standard petition.
Nathalie took it upon herself to send a personal e-mail to
the assistant superintendent of schools in LA. The two of
them then co-founded www.themjjarchives.weebly.com
The standard letter of petition down-loaded from there and
proceeded to be passed across the country and around the
world. The blog at the site continually updated current sta-
tus of progress by the team.
Fresh activity is the only means of overcoming adversity.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Melissa (Missy) Pearson then came along and offered her
twitter account to be solely used for a growing campaign to
get the boards down. She was also very instrumental in
getting the petition circulated along with Ariel Garner. Missy
further developed a web-site and Michelle Gratton primarily
managed it. Meanwhile, Rev. Catherine Gross and Karla
Alvarez were also recruited for the cause. A team of eight
formed which spans from California, to Chicago, to Canada
and back via the internet.

Rev. Catherine Gross also desired to do something for a
man who gave so much to me and the world. When Cath-
erine watched as the ladies corresponded on Twitter she
could tell that they were grounded in love. She reached-out
to Blessy, they talked and the team welcomed her love and
support. She became regarded as the communications
specialist for the group due to her background as an edu-
cator and religious leader. The ladies communicated every
day.

Ideas were continually brainstorming as to how to increase
networking. A conference-line at Chatzy was set-up and
Karla acted as the first meeting coordinator until Nathalie
later took on this role. This is quite a task as sometimes it
can be difficult to coordinate the schedules of three people,
let alone a group of differing time-zones. They later utilized
Skype as every internet-working tool available was taken
advantage of. A central e-mail address was also set up
from which 600,000 e-mails went out. The e-mails invited
people to http://mjjarchives.weebly.com/mjj-archives-
blog.html in order to let people know how they could help
by acquiring the letter of petition.

can change the world; indeed, its the only thing
that ever has. Margaret Meade

A huge outpouring of interest ensued. Catherine says, When
you are excited and in love with your work, it is contagious.
With each tweet, e-mail and web-site post, the campaign
trickled out from one person to another, to another and anoth-
er About the time one-thousand people had down-loaded
the petition, Nathalie opened a Facebook group, which Blessy
updated in February to a Facebook page; Uncover Michael
Jacksons Name (The Gardner St. School Issue Campaign)
https://www.facebook.com/UncoverMJ .

She immediately announced it at the teams site, which was
terrific for strategic purposes, since the site already had many
perspective Facebook members. As early as Feb., fans from
Germany created a video to further promote the cause by
using video segments from the ceremony in 1989. https://
www.youtube.com/watch?v=yma4dLYLW-c

The standard letter of petition was overseen by Nathalie
and was posted as a note at Facebook. Hundreds of more
letters were written in addition to the standard petition. Mem-
bers of the group were asked to send the petition letter direct-
ly to Assist. Superintendent Perkins. Original letters were for-
warded to the schools principal, Mr. Urbina, via the teams e-
address for review.

An on-line petition had been considered at http://
www.care2.com/take-action/ Though is it always good to con-
sider ones options, Blessy decided to create an additional
Facebook group page rather than expand to an alternative
site. With the encouragement of a friend, she could see that
by using a FCBK page, there would be great opportunity to
reach many more people, in less time, with just two clicks. By
clicking like at the page, a Facebook member could from
there invite as many friends as they wish by taking advantage
of invite friends. Blessy has a word of advice for group
founders, you always have to make things easy for the sup-
porters.

Jennifer (Jen) Marino, joined-up with the team as soon as the
Facebook group opened and became The LA representative.
She traveled eighty miles to bring twenty original letters to
Principal Urbina, of Gardner Street Elementary School, in
person and proceeded to visit the school every other week
with more letters.

Jennifer also presented the school with a list of all the chari-
ties that Michael had given to. You can see for yourself. http://

your-life-long-charity-work Yes, Michael is in the Guinness
Book of World Records as the legend named Most Charities
Supported by a Pop Star among seven additional Guinness
Book World Record awards for his musical achievements.
Nathalie managed the hard-copy standard letter of petition
and Melissa oversaw it on- line. UMJNC became inundated
with new members and letters. As this happened, the team
felt that it was time to gain media attention. Good for them for
establishing a strong foundation before attempting to contact
media. Had the team become anxious and contacted media in
the beginning, their mission would have appeared frivolous.
Sahar and Jennifer telephoned radio stations in LA. Tweets
were sent to @CNN, @LATimes and more. The team even
researched articles about Michael in attempts to contact re-
porters directly. They also didnt fail to join and correspond
with fellow MJ fan tribute groups. Michaeljackson.com wel-
comed the idea of posting about the mission and word of this
effort spread like wildfire there. Mellisa contacted MJ Portrait
Tribute Group who gave the team and its mission a full page.

Michael Inspires True Pride by Elizabeth Olney
I discovered this sensational endeavor on Facebook in
February. Having supported other Michael Jackson
groups, this particular one impressed me the most. It
fast became my favorite Facebook group of all be-
cause it wasnt just another tribute group or group that
became a group just because it liked something or
merely started an idea. This group had one single-
minded purpose and goal and continually sent out up-
dates to its members. A distinct sense of building could
be seen in a quest that was fueled with respect to pro-
cess. I felt the momentum of the mission and immedi-
ately informed MJ Truth Now; http://mjtruthnow.com/
and other MJ sites of the plight.
One can never consent to creep when one feels an
impulse to soar. Helen Keller

The team kept the web-site and Facebook groups
active, as twittering went on, in addition to all the
hands-on work that was taking place. Blessy collected,
kept count and compiled all of the 2,360 + letter. Most
of them were original letters along with five group let-
ters which totaled 2,572 signatures. She kept folders
for which letters had been read, checked for errors and
translated.
*actual photo of the letters compiled
Blessy mentioned that she was somewhat challenged
by support from Chinese fans, but she managed to
verify all of their names and addresses. All of the let-
ters were then forwarded to Jennifer. Blessy scanned
every letter for the more obvious errors. Each letter
was then copy/pasted to MS Word and went into a
new folder. Letter counts were then updated every 200
pages. Blessy then forwarded the letters to Jen. Jen
printed them out, organized them and then took them
to be bound. Can you imagine? This is a commenda-
ble example of sheer dedication.

Catherine suggested that MJ fans who live in LA also
engage in a direct community effort. Willingly, Jennifer
recruited a few friends and set out to embark upon a
door to door effort for the LA community.
Jennifer Marino even greeted people
in front of Gardner School.

The team is especially grateful to those individuals who gave
many hours of their time for this mission. Jen also led dedi-
cated friends and fans to quietly demonstrate outside of the
school with a banner and the petition. Concurrently, Michelle
kept tabs on all expenses including the printing of flyers, a
banner, pamphlets, letters and the binding of them. Cathe-
rine continued to prompt the progression of the team and
counseled fans as support for the teams efforts grew.

There is no question that many MJ fans became angry that
Michaels name had been covered when they found out. Ra-
ther than become discouraged, perseverance of this mission
intensified. Of course, the team members understood the
anger and continually implored fans to keep calm and to
write respectful letters. This was absolutely key to accom-
plishing the ultimate objective. Anger begets hate and hate
breeds hate so, we must always stand up to hate with love
as our motivator. For those having trouble addressing the
issue and unaccustomed to writing letters of this nature,
sample letters were posted at the Facebook group as
discussions. Catherine helped fans cope and always re-
directed focus on Michaels love and love for him which was
ultimately the driving force of the mission. Team members
often thanked supporters personally and always had the
lines of communication open. As more and more letters
came in, a request was sent out for photos. The team felt
that all supporters should be acknowledged as part of the
effort. Ariel transferred the photos, from the groups e-
address and uploaded them to Facebook.
Meanwhile, Superintendent Cortines and LAUSD were refus-
ing to acknowledge Jennifer or anyone else of the team.
They even pretended to ignore the enormous number of peti-
tion letters. Despite the opposition, the ladies insisted upon
always being courteous yet, this was the greatest struggle.
Blessy says, What's important is to FOCUS on your goal
and not to be swayed by drama.

As far as Principal Urbina was concerned, he had already
been disturbed by the boards remaining covered, prior to the
campaign. The problem was that Mr. Urbinas hands were
tied by higher authorities. He brought up the issue to parents
and teachers at a parents night event and put the issue to a
vote. Mr. Urbina and Jennifer developed a rapport and
friendship with additional contact by telephone. He informed
Jen that the result of a vote was unanimous; in favor of hav-
ing the boards removed.

Efforts persisted to acquire media exposure in order to get
Michaels name uncovered. As an old English proverb says,
Where theres a will, theres a way. A brief article came out
in the Examiner on March 18
th
. The big breaks came on
April 1
st
from ABC News. The reporter states in the video
that Michael Jackson is still creating controversy; how rude-
ly ironic. The comment chosen for the end of the article is
also not complimentary. At least a major news outlet inter-
viewed Jen, even though its the same one known notorious-
ly and hated for promoting Martin Bashirs slash edit of their
documentary about Michael.

Note that this video http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?
section=news/local/los_angeles&id=7363559 can be seen on
YouTube, with Greek subtitles as Europeans, Indian and
many more fans of the world engaged in the campaign.

A blog opened-up at Larry King Live the same day.

Though the media exposure helped promote the cause,
UMNGC had already succeeded in acquiring 2,000 users to
their web-site on their own. Later that month, Catherine was
interviewed for KFI news.

show of Catherines, dedicated to Michael.http://

As events surrounding the issue took place, Super. Cortines
was still refusing to respond, the team asked group support-
ers to bombard him with e-mails. When his assistants re-
quested that we stop, and passed on a message that he did-
nt care to meet with Jen, the team respectfully asked us to
stop. At this point, the team encouraged Jens willingness to
approach the school board. Not knowing much about school
board meetings, they again researched before Jen actually
attended the meetings at Garner St. Elementary. She went
regularly, twice a month until summer recess, despite the
opposition shed faced. It was a long wait before Jen could
pursue attempts to be heard at a meeting.

On the eve of the anniversary of Michaels passing, Jennifer
represented the team and its campaign at the first Make a
Better World Foundation Convention, held in LA. MBWF is a
non-profit organization inspired by Michaels humanitarian-
ism. Jennifer said It has given me so much inspiration to
continue to carry on his legacy.

The course of action underway pursued throughout the long
summer months and into autumn. Blessy made more media
inquiries, the door-to-door campaigning kept up, Ariel contin-
ued uploading photos and videos from supporters, support-
ers recruited friends and more and more petition letters
poured in, as all on-line tools were being utilized. This was a
trying time for the team. When obstacles stalled their mis-
sion, at times their reactions differed as to how to move on.
What held them together is that they continually communicat-
ed, listened to one-another and agreed to disagree when
uncertainties arose. Hence, efforts carried on despite any
differences always with the integrity of Michaels legacy in
mind at the forefront.
Finally, Jennifer was given a date of October 19
th
for the op-
portunity to speak. False pride for having had Michael Jack-
son as a student now looked as though it may end. This was
it ! This was the prime time for free speech that the team had
been waiting for. The team collaborated to write a three-
minute speech for Jennifer and additional speeches were
prepared by Nathalie and Sahar in the event others accom-
panied her to the meeting. The unbound letters of petition, of
over 2,300 needed to be ready for presentation.

An actual date felt so sudden because the summer had
dragged on in anticipation. Media was set to be present at
the LAUSD building ready to go, and the meeting looked like
a go until the unexpected happened. Three days before, a
sudden turn of events occurred. The boards were removed.
It happened so fast that no one was sure which media outlet
got the news first. Of course, Mr. Urbina called Jen. He even
brought each class outside, the same day, to sit on the steps
of the auditorium entrance beneath Michaels shining name,
for pictures.
Much more than a
name was uncovered

school and for the
world to see. The chil-

and children every-
where can now regard
Michael as a power of
example without res-
ervation and confusion. They can dance his dances and sing
his songs, always with their heads held high. As we know, it
is children that Michael has cared about more than anyone
which makes this event even more meaningful.

ington. *photo from wash-

Upon the news, the team came together on Skype, which
grew into an open celebration on U-stream. It was so excit-
ing. Everyone was ecstatic. Their victory was a victory for all
of us together that exciting night of October 15
th
, 2010. The
team thanked us over and over as we kept thanking them
and telling them how proud we are of them.

The team attributes this sudden turn of events to Mrs. Jack-
sons act of intervention. This prompted the break-through
and yet, it appears that Superintendent Cortines and LAUSD
were avoiding the meeting which everyone knew would not
be favorable towards them. Mrs. Jackson and her grandson
Taj had actually planned to give a press conference to an-
nounce that the boards were down until LAUSD leaked the
story to the press before this took place. Wesley Noorhoff,
founder of fan group & web-site Legendary Michael Jackson,
posted these words by Taj and Mrs. Katherine Jackson, im-
mediately following the posting of their statements.

" Taj posted on Facebook : On behalf of my grandma, we
are thrilled that the Uncover Michael Jacksons Name Cam-
paign has come to a happy conclusion. Here is a direct
quote from my Grandma. After a number of heartfelt conver-
sations between me, my grandson Taj, family friend Jodi
Gomes, and LAUSD, I am overwhelmed that the school will
proudly bear my sons name on its auditorium once again.
This could not have been done without the tireless dedication
of my sons fans and specifically the wonderful members of
the Uncover Michael Jacksons Name Campaign. I look
forward to my joint statement with the school in the coming
days and thank you from my heart. Michael would be proud.

Mrs. Jackson described the campaign well, in just two
words, tireless dedication. I have rarely witnessed per-
severance as steadfast and meaningful as this and could
write pages more as to why this victory has so much
meaning. Ill just say that there is great power in standing
up for what one believes in. This only took one idea from
one person who reached out to like-minded others. With
one tweet look what happened. Sahar was able to free
her pain by taking productive action. In doing so, she
came to realize the abundance available to her, in fellow-
ship of love for Michael.

This is a story of an idea that flourished from a glimmer
of hope and grew in to a victorious mission of sheer de-
termination, unwavering perseverance and integrity,
powered by respect, love, truth.

I hope this team can be an example to others groups in
order to represent Michael and UNITE in LOVE. Jen-
nifer
This is truly a historical event which will really shine
when the time comes that Michaels name is cleared of
lies. We can strengthen our unification of love by giving
him the respect he lacked with a legacy of honor. The
accomplishment of this team, along with its thousands of
supporters, prove to ignite a new beginning for the effort
to clear Michaels name. This feat gives all fans hope
and further encouragement to stand up to a false image
that much of news media has portrayed.
No lie can live forever. Dr. King
It is apparent, due to continuous slander by media and
responses to their insults, that many people have been
blinded by the perverse sensationalism over Michael.
We need to re-expose the facts, which we have at our
fingertips, to re-educate more people to who Michael has
already proven to be. There have been many wonderful
stories told by individuals who believed media over Mi-
chael and have since taken the time to learn the truth.
Many, many people have been confused not knowing
what to believe. One by one; as we did for this victory,
lets reach out to more doubters and let them know the
truth by simply providing them with factual references.
Being ignorant is not so much a shame, as being
unwilling to learn. Benjamin Franklin

There are people willing to listen and no effort in the
name of truth is futile. The groups and radio program
mentioned here are all made up of people who are avail-
able to let others know what more we can do for the real
Michael Jackson, Prince, Paris, Blanket and all people
who have been deceived by the media.

WATCHMAN ON THE WALL
As a kid in the 1980s, I was a huge fan of
choose your own adventure stories. You
know the ones: you read up to chapter nine or
so and at the end, the main character faces
some kind of preteen thriller dilemma. Do I
open the door or open the window? If you
chose door, you would skip to chapter eleven.
If you chose the window, you would continue
to chapter ten. Each ending was wildly differ-
ent but still satisfying, mainly because you did-
nt know what the other ending wouldve
looked like. Your ignorance was bliss.

What does Choose Your Own Adventure
have to do with Michael Jackson? Well, life is
a ride of predestined twists and turns that ulti-
mately become our fate, our journey, and our
legends. In late 1969, the Jackson 5s perfor-
mance on the Ed Sullivan Show ushered in a
new chapter for popular music. Michael Jack-
son specifically shaped popular culture, fash-
ion, art and music in ways we could never im-
agine. Lets explore a few.

Before Michael Jackson, only the biggest
nerds wore high water pants with loafers and
white socks showing. Wearing one glove
meant cold fingers until you located the other
at the lost and found. Epaulets, arm bands and
aviator shades, once only worn by third world
dictators, became the must-have fashion.

In the beginning, Katherine Jackson was re-
portedly planning to name her baby boy Ro-
land. Im not sure why she changed her mind,
but Im thankful she did.

Serendipity continued playing a role in Michael
Jacksons life. Rumor has it he was scheduled
to be on one of the planes headed from New
York to Los Angeles on September 11, 2001,
but he overslept.

Even in death, Michael was a pioneer. We re-
discovered the importance of performing CPR
on a hard surface. The callous role of insur-
ance company in a pop stars life was ex-
posed. Suddenly, everyone knew the word
Propofol.

Suddenly, our heroes were no longer sacro-
sanct. They battled demons like us and they
could die like us. In life, Michael was some-
thing otherworldly, but in death, all is laid bare.
Our superhero really had vitiligo? What do you
mean this superman was only five foot nine?

Many of todays young singers simply wouldnt
exist were it not for the King of Pop. The danc-
ing styles of Usher and Chris Brown are built
on the DNA of Michael Jacksons style. Justin
Timberlakes playbook-perfect imitation of Mi-
chael Jackson is worthy of a separate article
altogether.

So, if not Michael, then who? Trying to remem-
ber who Michael Jacksons peers were in the
early days is like trying to remember the world
on September 10,

2001. Personally, I dont like
to dwell on it. Instead, to paraphrase Dr.
Seuss, I dont cry because hes gone, I smile
because he was here.
