G E N E S I S WOR S H I P T R A D I T I ON A L WOR S H I P
Whats in a name? When Moses was at the burning bush
receiving the call to go back to Egypt to lead the Israelites
out of bondage, he asked God, Who shall I say sent me?
In other words, what is your name? In biblical times and
even today, names are associated with specic meanings.
In Gods case, His name was I AM WHO I AM or I WILL BE
WHAT I WILL BE. In that name, God is telling Moses and us
that He is outside of time, yet forever in the present and in
the future. His words were also, I am the God of Abraham,
Isaac, and Jacob, indicating among other things, life after
death. Note the I am not the I was. In this worship service
we are focusing on the holiness and sacred character of
Gods name. He is a holy God who has invited us into His
presence. - Dr. Dan Sharp

*Passing of the Peace
St. Paul always greeted with the words, The peace of God be
with you. This is an appropriate way to greet fellow brothers
and sisters in Christ, and so we say, The peace of the Lord be
with you and respond, And also with you. We then pass this
greeting of peace to one another. At the passing of the peace
we should earnestly desire Gods peace upon each person we
greet.
