Croda has established new product naming conventions based on logical, functional categorisation of our ingredients, whilst also including
additional product information in the form of user-friendly sufxes. The sufxes, to be included on all order and delivery documentation, give
clear visibility of the product physical form and site of manufacture. For example:
Arlatone MAP 950 becomes Crodafos M915A-LQ-(MH)
Crodafos = Tradename
M915A = Chemical Description (C9-15 Alkyl Phosphate)
LQ = Physical Form Sufx (Liquid)
MH = Plant Sufx (Mill Hall, USA)
The new product names (without sufxes) for Crodas range of phosphate esters are attached. Please use these as reference guides when
placing new orders or requesting further information from your local Croda Sales Representatives.
Physical Form Sufx
Crodas new naming conventions give visibility to the product
physical form. The physical form indicator has been xed as
applicable at 25C. The physical form sufxes are as follows:
BE - Beads
FL - Flakes
LQ - Liquid
MB - Micro Beads
NO - Noodles
PA - Pastilles
PS - Paste
PW - Powder
SO - Solid
SS - Semi Solid
Plant Sufx
A sufx will be used on delivery and order documentation to
distinguish between products which, through the tradename
consolidation process, are given the same tradename. The sufx
relates to the site of manufacture and will provide a degree of
transparency to our customers. The plant sufxes are as follows:
AP - Atlas Point, USA
BM - Bromborough, UK
BR - Croda Brasil
CK - Cikarang, Indonesia
CQ - Chocques, France
CR - Cremona, Italy
EM - Emmerich, Germany
